Kovalev: "I guess there won't be any talks that this team has 4 fourth lines now..."

On CKAC, Kovalev said that the Habs had 2, maybe 3 great lines. Not 4 fourth lines.

Ohhhhh, Lafleur's gonna be sore!

I think Lafleur's comment was a bit uncalled for anyways

I love it. Kovy and Lafleur come from the same school of hockey. They're both almost as entertaining off the ice as they are on it.

Good for Kovy...I have never been a fan of any Hab Vet including Guy, who spouts off with a camera or mic in his face...

Love Lafleur and he's one of my three favourite players ever, but his comments were way off base. Good for Kovalev for standing up for himself.

Sorry Guy, but not every Habs team can be like the one from 76-77.

Kovy FTW.

Lafleur's been saying outrageous comments for the past 30 years. Kovalev's not the first nor the last who answers back.

It's more the team than just himself, but either way good for him.

Although I think Lafleur's comments were more aimed at the way the team was playing. And who knows maybe he had hoped it would spark the team.

Lafleur at his best was miles on front of Kovalev at his best. I can say because i was following Lafleur since his junior years. No contest there.

And didnt anyone think that Lafleur's comment on the 4th lines was designed or meant to wake up some guys on the Habs? I think he weighed his options and anyway it turns out, his comments were and are still good.
