Who stays, Who leaves!

Here's my view about the team we have right now. I took some times to decide, what we have to keep for next year, who will/shall be traded, who will quit nhl, etc. As for this year, I took the time to reform the lines and to give the A & C to someone who deserve it more.

First off, Higgins and Koivu would be traded together in a monster trade. Ryder will choose another team next year as well as Kostopoulos. For Dandenault and Bouillon, they're done with the habs and they will find another team. Brisebois and Smolinski will retire. Finally, Kovalev will get the C and Markov and Komisarek will get the A. That's all I could think of for now.

Andrei Kostitsyn (LW) (22 y/o) + Tomas Plekanec (C) (25 y/o) + Alex Kovalev (RW) (34 y/o) " Strenght united "
Christopher Higgins* (LW) (24 y/o) + Saku Koivu* (C) (33 y/o) + Sergei Kostitsyn (LW) (20 y/o) " Will they ever score? "
Steve Bégin (LW) (29 y/o) + Maxim Lapierre (C) (22 y/o) + Guillaume Latendresse (RW) (20 y/o) " The French Connexion "
Michael Ryder* (RW) (27 y/o) + Bryan Smolinski** (C) (36 y/o) + Tom Kostopoulos* (RW) (28 y/o) " They'll be gone next year "

(A) Andrei Markov (D) (29 y/o) + (A) Mike Komisarek (D) (26 y/o) " Knock out "
Roman Hamrlik (D) (33 y/o) + Ryan O'Byrne (D) (23 y/o) " Help the young! "
Josh Gorges (D) (23 y/o) + Mark Streit (D) (30 y/o) " Hard workers "
Mathieu Dandenault* (D) (31 y/o), Francis Bouillon* (D) (32 y/o) Patrice Brisebois** (D) (36 y/o) " Back up "

(C) Captain
(A) Assistant captain
* Won't be back with the habs next year
** Won't be back in nhl

I've firmly identified Smolinski, Brisebois and Kostopolous as our core. I think Gainey and Carbonneau agree judging by statements they've made recently to the press.

Some appreciate it, some don't. I'm through with being sarcastic in every thread though, I'm going to pick my spots like I was doing before.

I'd keep Kostopoulos, I like him, he's a feisty stand up guy and he's a good complement to the fourth line.

If your dry cracked lip hurts when you laugh, it might be infected

I disagree with most of this. Can't see Gainey trading Higgins, Kostopulous I have no problem as an energy fourth liner, Brisebois should be gone next year...replaced by Carle or Valentenko, (likely).

I see Gainey trying very hard to add an offensive forward before the trade deadline to play with Koivu and Kost. Jr. I would not be suprised if it is Tanguay. With Chip, Ryder going the other way and Lombardi being involved. Lombardi with Higgins on the third line should make an awesome two way line
