More purely skilled: Kovalev or A Kostitsyn?

At this stage in their careers (because we all know how crazy Kovalev was 6-7 years ago).

Let's see:

Kovalev: Amazing hands (top 3 in the league), Great wrist shot, powerful one timer, tremendous puck protection skills, big body, great technical skater and good vision.

Kostitsyn: Beautiful soft hands, Great wrist shot, very quick release, very good puck protection skills, strong legs, great skater and faster then Kovalev, Tremendous vision. (remember his behind the back pass to Plekanec, etc)

Who is more skilled?

Actually his release is not really quick, it's just above-average. Ditto for his vision. Watch closely.

Yeah he is.

People forget so quickly some of the plays he made at the end of last year and in December of this year.

Kovalev is more talented.

...but Andrei is an awesome passer. He is really underrated in that category.

And to think that much skill touched Rink 4 at the Pierrefonds arena, I've thrown up on that ice once.
