Who should Canada's 6th d-man be?

It's pretty safe to say that Blake, Pronger, Niedermayer, Jovanoski, and Foote will be there. Who do you think Canada's 6th d-man will be?

Are you kidding. Last year didn't the Habs fans boo Brisebois every time he touched the puck. Souray, is he a good as the guys on the list. If Morris played on Monteal he would get all the PP time and would be out playing Souray. One good year isn't going to get you on the world cup team.

Brisebois: He's a +11! That's up in the top 20 amongst defensemen. Take away almost half, as they aren't Canadian and he's in the top 10 amonst NHL defensemen in +/-! He's also on pace for almost 25 points. I'd be shocked if he wasn't atleast invited!

Rivet: He played for Canada at the WC's... he deserves to go. He's a good guy and can skate backward and forward!

Souray: If he's not the #1 defenseman in the game, I don't know who is. He's big and likes to hit people. Maybe we can have him as the #1 guy for team Canada and play him 30:00 a game. Especially against the Belarussians... they're quick.

Souray is nowhere near the best D-man in the NHL. Souray has 20 points in 23 games against teams below .500 and 12 points in 27 games against teams above .500 for which he had a 3 point night against Nashville and a 4 point night against TB. So he really has 5 points in 25 games against the elite teams. Since the 6 point night against Pitt, he has 0 points against the likes of Toronto, Ottawa, and NJ. He obviously is better than the players on the weaker teams, but can't compete with the big boys. Most overated player in the NHL this season, nobody will be talking about him next season.

My vote went to Derek Morris.

Briesbois, Rivet?? That's funny. May as well send Scott Ferguson and Cory Cross.

Sure, Souray is having a great season and may be an consideration if he continues to put up solid numbers...

Some of you underrate him.

I think he'll hit 50 points and win the Norris, possibly even the Hart!

He's underrated... and you're just jealous!

Why don't you let us Habs fans have something without putting it down? We've gone through some rough times over the last 5 years or so... LEAVE US ALONE DAMNIT!

.the NHL s10hould really look onto that becaus9e now the Leafs have won 3 straight meetings with the Habs and that's just not right

beecause we've got Rivet... his numbers are also messed, because I could have sworn that he sc2ored 3 goles agianst Toronto last night and th9e refs waived it off.

I SWAETR N I"M GOIONNG TO IKLL THHE STUPIOOPD REFEWREES!

The strength of his game is his passing, I'm not sure what the hell you are watching.

Possibly even the Hart????? Are you kidding?? Maybe Theodore but Souray won't even come close to the Norris. That's going to Pronger or Blake.

That's not true. How can you even suggest that? Pronger and Blake are both way better defensemen
