Both nights. section 308, row Q, seats 1-3
Stop by and say hello. Name is Nat. I'll probably be sitting next to two people with Atlanta jerseys on though so don't get weirded out by the presence of those cornflower blue shirts.
wha? the sport you don't love? you do realize you are on a hockey message board?
Thank you Captain Obvious. We're also, if we go deeper, in a ASG thread, meaning we're discussing the All Star Game. That's not hockey, that's a PR stunt with a bunch of players goofing around in hockey gear. And then I don't even have to go to "it's not the best players in the league on the ice", which is the whole purpose of this stunt. It was boring before, but at least it was some kind of honour to the players presenting, but now... it's not even that.
I think there's a reason players like Luongo and Brodeur bails out. They don't think it's worth it either, the rest is more valuable.
I liked it alot back in the 80's when i was growing up a huge hockey fan. Not like Ranger fans had much to cheer for in the 80's, those all star teams were dominated by Isles, Oilers, Flyers, etc. Then again, Don Maloney won the MVP one year ! But really it was all about seeing the stars of the other teams. Back then it was rare to get to watch a game with ANY of the leagues stars unless we were lucky to get those channel 9 games against teams like Edmonton. In Brooklyn, we had no cable so we had no ESPN. The only hockey highlights we saw were local teams on the local news.
