I'd trade Bouillon and a decent pick for No Panic Yanic... Maybe Boullion + 3rd.
Christopher Higgins - Saku Koivu - Michael Ryder
Andrei Kostitsyn - Tomas Plekanec - Alex Kovalev
Guy Latendresse - Yanic Pearrault - Sergei Kostitsyn
Steve Begin - Maxim Lapierre - Tom Kostopolous
Mathieu Dandenault, Bryan Smolinski
Andrei Markov - Mike Komisarek
Roman Hamrlik - Mark Streit
Josh Gorges - Patrice Brisebois
Andrew Archer (for toughness if needed)
k giving up a 7th rounder for Perrault is overpaying and even though Bouillon isn't the greatest d-man he still has more value and would get a lot more than no panic yanic. Why would we want andrew archer for toughness when O'Byrne will be back in a couple of weeks, might as well call up Jimmy Bonneau and put him on the 2nd line because it would make as much sense.
I'll do it, but the haws simply won't do it. They have a good team this season and i think that savard really want to push for the playoff this year, so that the young guns gets some experience down the way ..
Perreault and Lapointe are pretty useful to this team right now, even if they don't change de scoreboard every night, they bring great leadersheap to this young room...
Perreault VS Bouillon and a 4th, i do this in a heartbeat.
Does anybody remember how Yanic played coming down the stretch with the Leafs last year? He is incapable of playing effectively in the bottom six. No dice. We should push for Fedorov as a rental veteran Centre if anyone.
I saw on the Discovery channel that Japanese scientists invented a helmet that can control the movement of the person wearing it. It sends waves to your ear and that forces your body to turn the way they want you to go. That means that Gainey can sit in the press box and control where his players are on the ice with a remote joystick. So in the future players will lose their freewill and the NHL game will literally become like a video game. So Yanick Perreault can wear one of these helmets.
Smoke plays a good game last saterday (good forecheck, no big mistakes and nice passes). But I'm sure that it was a lucky game
but I take smoke over perrault (maybe he will win a big face off and the team will win the game....but until that moment, his +/- will be around -20...cause he have not enough speed to go back to the bench quickly )
I'd love to see Fedorov as the third-line center. The only problem is whether or not Columbus will be buyers or sellers come trade deadline -- they're 3 points out of a playoff spot, so it depends on the management's confidence in the team getting their, as well.
It'd be awesome if he signed here, as well. Obviously not at his current contract amount, but something respectable for a third-line center.
Lets not look back, I would rather look forward instead.
Look at Brisebois, this is what happens when you go back to players you once had and didn't actually cut it before. We have Breezy, you want Yanic back. Some wanted Recchi back, some were asking for Zubrus last summer.
Those guys are the past not the future.
Besides I don't consider Yanic to be the best faceoff man in the league. He probably wins the most neutral zone faceoffs in the league. A guy like Brind'Amour is probably the best faceoff guy in the league. He wins them when he needs to win them.
