Lehtinen & Jokinen should return after All Star Break

With Jokinen and Lehtinen returning, do you thing the Stars will leave the top line as Morrow-Ribeiro-Miettinen, or will Lehtinen take his spot back on the top line? I hope that, since Miettinen has played well in that position, the Stars leave him where he is at and reunite Modano with Jokinen and Lehtinen. What do you think?

I think and hope you're spot on.

Miettinen has really blossomed next to Ribeiro and we all know about Lehtinen's chemistry with Mike.

The Stars should shop Miettinen and Norstrom(or Daley) over the All Star break, if they can get a more legit scorer, not someone who's excelling because they're with Morrow and Ribeiro.

Otherwise leave it be, then use Eriksson-Modano-Lehtinen as the second line.

That doesn't necessarely has to be true. Maybe it's a kickstart for Miettinen, who knows. I'm just glad he's playing like we all hoped he would. I would't even consider trading him right now.

The only reason I would if some team believe's he is legit, which I don't believe he is, besides the fact I don't think he's going to be worth $2 million or so that he gets in the off-season.

If Miettinen and Norstrom or Daley can be used to get a scorer, that'll be here next year I'd gladly do the trade.

Thank you. Miettinen has proven that he can play well with Ribeiro and Morrow and that's it. He's a UFA and he'll probably want a good pay raise. If my choices are pay Hagman or pay Miettinen, that's real easy, Hagman.

Norstrom needs to go and I really don't have much use for Daley. If two or even all three of them can be shipped out for a legitimate winger and prospect/pick in return Hull and Jackson must do it. Especially if the winger is younger and will be retained next year. They should already be calling teams that need some defensive help down the stretch for a young winger trying to break into the lineup. Carolina, Washington, Pittsburg, Minnesota, and Ottawa would be the more obvious places to start. An Alan Ladd or Ilya Zubov should be what we're looking to get back.

Jokinen says he wants to play Thursday. He's wearing a knee brace.

Mike Heika is reporting on the Dallas Morning News blog that Jokinen will play tommorow against Buffalo. He said that the lines in practice were:

Morrow-Ribeiro-Eriksson
Ott-Modano-Halpern
Hagman-Jokinen-Miettinen
Barch-Lundqvist-Barnes

B.J. Crombeen is being sent back to Iowa.

Eriksson played on the top line like I think a week or 2 ago. the chemistry wasn't as good as when Mitts was there

So when Lehtinen is back, which 3 of the following 4 will play ?

Barch-Lundqvist-Barnes-Eriksson (assuming Winchester remains on the bench)

I guess Barch is the less talented but he does bring something that the other 3 can't

He does, but we've already got a "regular" in Ott for what Barch brings. He'll be the odd man out, probably.

It's looking more like it'll be Lundqvist sitting.

hard to say who sits when we're healthy

I'd have the lines
Morrow-Ribs-Miets
Hagman-Jokinen-Loui
Halpern-Modano-Lehts
Ott-Barnes- whoever

Zubov-Nisky
Not sure who we should play and with who out of Boucher, nord, Daley, Gross, Robi, Fishsticks ( most likely going back to Iowa when Boucher/Zubov get back )

Kind of feel bad for Tipp once everyone gets back, but I guess its good to have lots of depth

Norstom's hopefully gone at the deadline.

Then it leaves the defense pairings as.
Niskanen-Zubov
Daley-Boucher
Grossman-Robidas.
