How about we have enough probelms as it is. We are already a team of underachievers why bring in another that would probably shadow the lot. Id rather get Biron from Buffalo or another solution. How about Khabiboulin for Nedved and a pick?

Tampa is never going to give you knabby for nedved and a pick, even a 1st. You would have to throw one of our big four (jessimen, tyutin, blackburn, lundmark) in there to get knabby or biron for that case.

Tampa wouldn't do it and why trade the center that Jagr will probably succeed with. I think we are better off looking at Burke. He shouldnt cost nearly as much as Bulin.

The Lightning are looking for a puck-rushing defenseman who can play the point on the power play. How about a straight Poti for Khabibulin deal?

at any other time, maybe, but given the sudden lack of D-men that are able to skate, that wouldnt be a great move.

IMO Turek ( a guy who can fill the hole in net at least for this year ) and Calgary first round choice ( at least a top 15 pick overall ) is too much for a Lundmark who have proved niet in the NHL so far.

That would be possibly the biggest overpayment for a goaltender ever. Even sending Petr Nedved would be an overpayment for a goaltender, who usually don't have alot of trade value to begin with.

BTW- Turek is probably the worst choice out there. No way.

You're right but we're doing them a favor. Turek makes about 7 mill I believe.

We have to start doing us some favors - and not the Caps, Flames etc.

Yeah, but still...

it's too much to give up. Turek, however, can be had, if available, for a pick (2-4 round), most likely. Not suggesting the Rangers get him, but to give up Lundmark in that trade's a bit silly. If Lundmark is to be traded, it better be for a good, hard-hitting, mobile defensive defenseman who is under 30 years old. It's a lot to ask, but if this team's going to trade one of its few prospects, it best be for a player this team needs.

Turek makes $4.25 million. Far more than he should, but nowhere near $7 million.
