I think they just choose to do it that way. It's not worth being critical over. Some boards don't even make GDT's and it wasn't a common practice for a while even after switching to the vbulletin format

Can't see the game tonight. My friend got me some free tickets to the Lightning game so I'm goin there with her to boo the hell out of the Sens. I'm wondering if they have one of those scrolling text things on their scoreboard so i can try to get them to put up Mike Richards is Cannon down here in Tampa.

It is a huge shame.....It is also such a shame that the 200+ Eric Lindros hockey cards and other memorabilia I own is pretty much worthless now....

Sadly no, but I was at least a little hopeful.

I mean honestly even if you think Stevens out of the equation, just think about it. We are coming off a game where we gave up 7 goals and the defense was just awful, awful, awful. Awful. Even if I didn't have a player of Kukkonen's caliber on the bench, I would still bench somebody just to send a message.

It's just mind-numbing that a guy like Vandermeer can turn in about 5 very, very, very poor performances in a row (read Meltzer if you don't believe me) and still get 20+ minutes per night.

Big bounce back game tonight.

They need to watch out for that Malkin guy, I hear he is pretty good.

It would be a nice win to head into the all-star break with GO FLYERS!

I think Carter can play against Malkin I mean he did it in WJC. If Carter can't Richards will...

We have enough depth to win this game.

I believe you and I am glad Meltzer posted it as well so now I have some support to back up my complaining.....I have been complaining about Vanduhmeer since he got here

I agree with you, unfortunately this coach either doesnt see it, cant see it or has Andy Reid syndrome and is just too stubborn to do anything about it...

Malkin is a much better player in proportionate to Carter since 2005. Carter's defensive game hasn't translated as well as Richards' has since juniors.

Speaking of hat-tricks, not that I'm banking on a Hatcher one personally, we seem to have had a fair few this season, anyone know what the team record for most hat-tricks (individual and team) in a season is and how the current team/players compare? I tried Flyershistory.com but I couldn't see anything about hat-tricks under the season records.

It'll be worse than that. With all of their injuries/illness, the Pens will have way too many Wilkes-Barre players in the lineup. This game will be UG-ly.

Hopefully with Crosby out they'll turn down their homering.

I'm sure there will still be a 5-10 minute segment on how his injury will effect the game tonight.
