Does anybody else remember Emerick saying something about Nash being the first to have two or more goals in an All-Star game two years in a row? I know he said it but don't know if it's accurate or not.

Bottom line, Nash gets robbed two years in a row. It's like guys were just looking for an excuse NOT to vote for him. Cheer for your All-Star MVP Columbus! Let him know he really is appreciated.

It would have been cool for Nasher to get the All-Star Game MVP, but I have a hard time getting worked up about him not getting it.

No one outside of Columbus would remember he won it a month from now anyway.

But that's part of the problem Hugg

no will get worked up that for the second straight year Nash didn't get it.
no one will get worked up that LeClaire was left at home.

Did you hear Nash's response to the lady reporter when she asked if he thought he should have gotten consideration? He said something to the effect that He was the MVP for the winning team last year and didn't get it - it went to someone on the losing East, then he didn't get it this year though being deserving, because "now it is strictly for the MVP of the winning team"

Nasher had to be saying *** lady.. where are these pin head broadcasters... that's two trucks they screwed him out of/ and recognition from the world.

Iginla commented that he could not believe Nash didn't get MVP with 3 breakaway goals and a hatty...

So, my clock radio this morning was on QFM96. Wags and Elliot were doing their "Sports Madness" bit, and I really wasn't hearing it because I was trying to wake up and debate about hitting the snooze bar anyhow.

Then I hear "Yeah, Phillips Arena. It was stolen from the NHL all-star game."

*blink* They have my attention.

Another voice (obviously on a phone) says, "Do you have a description of the vehicle?"

"Yeah, it was one of the new dodge trucks, silver, pretty big rims. It was supposed to go to Rick Nash because he had a Hat Trick and set a couple of records, but Eric Staal stole it even though he only had 2 goals."

The voice on the phone kinda paused. "Sir, you realize you are speaking to the Atlanta Police Department, and that filing a false police report is a crime?"

They hung up, laughing their heads off.

I kinda sat there and said, "Dude. They just pranked the Atlanta PD about Nash getting robbed." They aren't even a sponsor of the team, far as I know, and they're pushing this?

(Actually, thinking about it, at least on their morning show, they do a fair bit of Jackets coverage. Maybe they -should- be a sponsor, compared to a certain station that rhymes with "Sore Feet Thicky" and their coverage (or lack thereof...))

Okay, I'm not really much of a classic rock fan, so I normally don't listen to them... but now they have to be added to my presets. Because that is a kind of awesome you just cannot ignore.

If I'm Haydocy Automotive, my next commercial with Rick is a parody.
"Getting a hattrick in the Allstar game....awesome.
Driving a GMC from Haydocy instead of a Dodge only your parents would want...priceless." *

Here's the Denis beachball and seeing eye-dog pic I saved a long time ago.
Not sure who originally made it. A true classic!

Another funny one....

Anybody recognize the goalie for the Canucks?

No good source photos for something like that, so I did a slight tweak instead:

I might've considered "THIEF" instead, but my font-fu is not that strong. Alas.

So like I was saying...Pazzy sucks, right?

I wonder how much "LeSnub" had to do with Leclaire's performance these last two games, especially last night v Nashville.

I'd also like to note that "The Goal" by Nash and many like it, including those during the allstar game, were the result of some wicked passes to him. He's not all about the boards and picking up the trash. In my mind, these recent goalsonly highlight the need for a great passing linemate for Nash. Somebody who can create space as well because they are a scoring threat in their own right.

This person used to be Vybes, but he can't seem to carry the puck anymore. Hitch would like this to be Modin (great passer, and can score too) but he's glass this year.

Leclaire answered the "Osgood Conspiracy" tonight... 5 to 1 in Detroyt.

I hope the NHL Allstar Selection Committee chokes on tonight's score.

Pazzy's agent should be on the phone right now with Howson.
4 years, 18 million. Done.
