Bryan Smolinski Appreciation Thread....credit when it is due.

Yeah,Smolinski has been our designated official whipping boy this season, but it's time to give him the credit and the consideration he fully deserves in contributing significantly as he scored 2 goals to help the Habs winning against the Devils, and de facto, breaking finally this strange and cruel curse.

Put him in the right role and he can be a useful player.

I'm glad to see him playing so well in the last three games; for awhile it looked like he had run out of gas.

Yep. And I'm going to have to find a good crow supplier if he keeps this up.

Smoke has 3 goals in 2 games.

I really hope he can keep it going. If we can have 3 lines constantly contributing, we're gonna be able to beat anybody.

He wasn't signed for 2007. He was signed for 2008 when the grind is on and the going gets tough. That's when a heady vet can be a huge help.

Smoke.

Signing Smolinski was worth it just for those two goals alone.

This is why you need veteran presence in the team

It will take more than 2 games to convince me, but he's on the right track.

Yup, he's been good since returning. He's a still a little slow-footed, but he's keeping the puck on his stick, which was the major difference from his play pre-injury.

I seriously liked all our summer signing from the get go.

Then :

I came to like Hammer's signing even more!
I came to question Kostos signing in November when he was making some bad giveaways (was just a couple of games finally?)
and Lately and only lately (before his "coming back") I came to question Smokes' signing because of all the negativity around him (mainly due to the fact that Chip was sent down to make room for him, etc)...
but that was uncalled for. Smokes is a great veteran and is just all right for our last 2 lines. I'm glad to head into playoffs with him there!
