A Different Way to Look at Things...

Teams Record in their Past 10:

Detroit 7-2-1
Ottawa 5-5-0
San Jose 5-3-2
Minnesota 5-4-1

YOUR MONTREAL CANADIENS: 7-2-1

Same record in the last 10 as Detroit, only team hotter in hockey right now is Philly. 15 pts out of a possible 20, I can't remember going into the All Star break with the train rolling quite this well!

And the break comes at a perfect time for Huet, who has now played 8 straight games and won 6 of them.

And I absolutely love the fact that we're road warriors - it's going to be huge come playoff time!

Like Gainey said, it's easier to find a way to win at home than to find a way to win on the road!

I believe that, come playoff time, the Habs will have a hard time losing at the Bell Centre. And it has been often said that the series isn't won until a road game is won.

Also of note the Habs are tied for 2nd in the NHL in regulation losses with 15. The Wings are the leagues best at just 10 losses, Habs are tied with the sens and sharks.

The Habs do have a fine road record, and their ability to win away from the Bell Centre will be important in the playoffs. That impresses me more than anything else.

A 10-game slice of the season (about 12%) shouldn't be taken too seriously. Look at Ottawa, when the Senators jumped off to 15-2 and then started to fall back to earth.

This city is going to ****ing go nuts when the playoffs start. That"s when the rookies will see what its all about.

The Habs will feed off it like crazy, Carbo and Muller with all of their experience, will keep the guys calm and level-headead but intense.

Watch... all four lines will be potting big goals when we need them.
