Funny Mistake at Blues' Website..

I was reading the spotlight on Perron article and I came across this gem..

"David sort of slew his Goliath with 39 goals and 44 assists at Lewiston of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last season. He played a pivotal role in the MAINEiacs’ championship season and was the team's second leading scorer at the Memorial Cup with 12 goals and 16 assists in just 17 games. Plus, he excelled for Canada in an eight-game "Super Series" against the Soviet Union in August."

Perron was at the ripe old age of 3 when the Soviet Union collapsed.

Just thought that was funny....so sorry if you don't.

That's the name that was given to the 8 games that Canada and Russia's junior teams played this past August.

I think you missed my point. I wasn't disputing that it was called the Super Series....I knew that.....I was disputing the assertion that the team playing against Canada was from The Soviet Union

No disrespect, IB, but I think you may be off there.

Hey IB, please pardon the brief hi-jacking of this topic, but what is the * by Boyes' salary cap data over at NHLSCAP.com?

BOYES, BRAD C STL 82/04/17 1,500,000 1,600,000 RFA*

None of our potential RFA's have the asterick.

* = "arbitration eligible". I'm working through getting the notes on the salary pages to match up with the cap pages; what's on the cap pages is accurate b/c McClement is also arbitration-eligible.

Point noted on the "Soviet Union" comment, I read right over that.

Larry Wigge wrote this article. I've never really enjoyed reading his articles because of the typos, the misordered clauses and silly points, but this article is very well written. My favorite so far by Wigge.

However, that "Soviet Union" gaffe is hilarious.

Bad boys, bad boys. Whatcha gonna do. Whatcha gonna do when IB comes for you.

So the cops went to IB's house and tasered him.
