If Bob Mckenzie is right:

He would look better with better linemates.. He has no one to play with on the second line.. Richards could be a #1 center in many teams, he is a strong competitor, a guy you want in playoffs..

Hey Brad, stop making out with all the girls you see. It's not good for your health.

And he can play well over 20 minutes a game? That's sick. (No pun intended).

Very impressive, the guy is known to have a huge heart, I can't believe he is still playing 20+ minutes.

sidenote to this comment: "On another Lightning matter, Brad Richards may be the first player I've ever heard of playing through mononucleosis"

Hard to know about this stuff for different teams, but it happened as recently as last season with the Caps' Shaone Morrisonn. With Morrisonn he did miss 4 games after the diagnosis, although given some of his play after he returned, he probably should have waited longer to return, the Caps were short d-men and he played.

No, once you show symptoms of mono you are no longer contagious....

You would only be contagious prior to actually breaking out with it.

Oh God, I thought you were talking about Mike Richards which immediately had me going "Is mono contagious? Was he sitting near Markov much this weekend? **** !!"

I don't know anything about mono, is it really serious? Does it last a long time? Can the average person play hockey during this time?

If Richards was making more like 5-6M he would be more attractive to trade for...that being said, he is a better all around player than his stats from this year show...

It can last like 6 months...And it totally saps your energy. Very hard to play hockey with mono, you just want to sleep all day.

If he have a girlfriend, she now knows that he cheated her

But if another Lightning player drank in the same bottle than him...

Not necessarily.... there are a number of ways you can get mono that don't just involve kissing... Its pretty easy to spread through a hotel on the road, or at a restaurant, if their washing is inadequate you can get it from the glass in your hotel room, or from your plate, fork, knife at the restaurant.

Mono isn't necessarily that bad. I played an entire season of soccer (a couple of them actually, since I was in more than one league) when I had mono, and never even realized. Mono can be awful too, but some people get it and never even find out about it.

Koivu is going nowhere . he 's the soul and hearth of the Habs , and no way Gainey is going to trade him for a overpaid player like Richards . I hate to see all those Koivu haters trying to move him all the time .
