All Star Break.....good for this King fan

I put up a post last week about the lack of toughness on this team and I still think that is a weakness on this team. I was able to sit back and take a look at this team DL as put together and I am feeling pretty good about it.

They have a solid core of young players that are the best players on the team. Blake and Stuart are getting there shots through and have picked up the the physical play as well. Chances are they won't be here after Feb. 24th but there is a real good chance they are resigned July 1st.

I think still think Frolov or Cammy could get dealt. But if they don't the Kings end up having 2 solid 2nd line wingers. Stamkos between them next year sounds pretty good. There will be some young players winning some jobs in Sept.

The Kings enter this season long eastern road trip winning 5 of 7 and putting together some complete games. They are gelling and are showing some character. I was all over Crawford in the 1st part of this season but he seems to be doing a good job of late. DL should have an easier time filling some wholes this offseason and the Kings should be able to give a real shot next year.

Even if LA finishes dead last in the league will be able to say we saw some great games. The Dallas comback, the Buffalo and Chicago blowouts. There should be a few more of those games in the stretch run. The Kings have nothing to lose so they could play a real good spoiler.

I read they need to win like 28 or there last 33 games to have a shot at the playoffs. Maybe they should get a cardboard cut out of some hot chick and pull a piece of clothing off with each win. Like on Major League.

The hope for next year will be seen in tomorrows opponent. The Flyers were the worst team last year and with some goood deadline moves, solid draft, and a key UFA signing they will most likely be a playoff team this and are contending for there division.
