No way Parise gets traded, he is probably going to be the franchise forward in a few years. It seems dumb to trade you future franchise player.

Of course, this doesn't apply to Phaneuf

Then what happens to our offense. We will have a good D but bad offense. Though Parise and Lombardi would make a pretty sick combo.

Sure, but how are they going to play together if their involved in the same trade?

Not even close. Gionta still has some value, based on the market I expect a 1st and a prospect for Gionta atleast or a #2/#3 defensmen

Vancouver would love him. Im assuming they want some roster players back. Maybe something along the lines of Raymond and Krajicek?

Based on what? We get an UFA who will leave and Afin who is playing piss poor. They get two guys who probably would be there for atleast 4 years each.

Doesn't that sum up like the entire last 15 years for New Jersey? Sounds like a comfort zone to me.

Gionta won't bring back a #1 d-man, but he sure isn't going to be dealt for a 3rd pairing defenceman or a prospect.

My first post in a trade proposal thread....

Gionta for Rob Blake? Work things around a bit? Not really sure who would need to add/subtract, or if this is even a good starting point.

Thinking about it a bit more, that would create something of a logjam at the forward position for the Kings, especially on smallish forwards. Even still, it's interesting to ponder...

Uh, what? Rozsival doesn't have the sexiness that a name like Chris Pronger does, but he'd automatically be the Devils best defenseman, and he's a #2/3 defenseman on almost every team in the league.

What's funny about Krajicek? A 24 year-old, still-developing, top-4 d-man for a 29 year-old, undersized winger who had 1 good season playing with two all-stars?

Sounds about right.

Werent you guys really high on Kesler?? What happened?? How much does he earn?? Whats his play been like in his own end??

Also, thats probably one of the better proposals ive seen on HF.... Thinking about it, I would probably do it, however this means that NJ ditches a chance for the cup this year, but builds a solid base for the future. Also our stock of RW players is too deep, Clarkson, Bergfors, Tallackson, Halishuck all in the system so Hansen would be meh...

After his stellar play in last years playoffs however, he seems interesting.

Bourdon could turn into a #2 Dman, and plays a similar game to Paul Martin.

Maybe if you could drop the pick, and swap Hansen for Bieska???

Also, our offense would go from stinky, to putrid.... im not sure that if we brought up Bergfors, he could replace Gio's mediocre production.

I dont know, its a tough one, ill leave this to other Devils fans.

The Devils do need more 3&4 defenseman or a shut down center we have plenty.

We need someone who is close to a number 1 defenseman.
