Somehow I don't see the Rangers being interested in him.
They also passed on Wolski, Meszaros, and Zajac with that pick.

And I was calling for Wolski with it.

We all better damn well hope that Korpikoski does something worthwhile at the NHL level.

Prucha's put up more than 20 goals in a season twice. Shremp has never done it, ever. How can you make those kinds of statements until Shremp at least shows he can play in the NHL?

Prucha seems to be somewhere between Radek Dvorak and Martin Straka. Thats a big range and the Jury is still out.

Schremp may turn out to be a Rob Ribiero but he may be a a Christian Dube too.

Schremp completely unproven in the NHL where as Prucha has proven he can score 20+ in back to back seasons.

The only downside is that he's not scoring as much but when you've proven you can score on the PP, why is he not on the PP? It boggles my mind. And for those of you that say he needs to earn his PP time, what about people like Souray who are snipers on the PP but liabilities as a defenceman? It's not like they say "oh, Sheldon was on the ice when the other team scored or didn't score last week, let's take him off the PP."
No matter what definition you choose to use, it is impossible to say that Prucha is better than in his previous two years.

If you want to use definsive ability as a basis for the discussion then put him on the checking line. Without offense, Prucha is a big fat zero. That is what he is paid to do.

Fine, if you want offense out of Prucha, then give him time on the ice. He was meshing well with Dubi and Dawes and now he has to play with Drury and Straka. Not that it's a bad thing for him to be with these guys, but linemates don't instantly click. And put him on the *** power play already. He's shown he can score on it, so put him on the ice.

agreed. It will help the team and he should be able to bring up his trade value so we can ditch him for a more well rounded player. A player that can create offense on his own.

Well the point I was trying to make wasn't 'What a good pick that Korpikoski has turned out to be'--draft day though Schremp who was touted more than some of the others named above and was falling. Speculation afterwards after the Rangers televised draft show was that Schremp was the unnamed player that Renney and Maloney slammed as not being a Ranger. True or not--Schremp hasn't quite made it either. Would I trade Prucha for him? No way.
