Quick question...

I went to the link for that site and noticed the practices are all at MSG...
When I was little my dad used to take me down to Rangers practices at the Rye Playland rink. When did they switch to MSG?

The Rangers were at Playland up until the start of last season. Since then they have moved into a new practice facility in Greenburg, NY.

And where does everyone get their example from? Their mighty leader and captain, off course. When was the last time that Messier decided to grace the team w/ his presence in practice? Even when the practices are not optional, he is still excused from them. And this effin team wonders why the specail teams are conceivably the worst in league history. And why they cannot seem to put 2 passes together. And why they cannot manage a simple dump in. And why they cannot.........

......video sessions substituted for practice and served as preparation for tonight's Garden match against the Sabres
The #1 center has been lost, lines will be shaken up, but the team doesn't need to practice!?!?!!?!?! 29 other NHL coaches would have skated this team until they dropped following Wednesday's performance, and Sather shows them VIDEOS!?!?!?!?! I mean, what eff is going here!?!?!

It used to be a team would get an hour of stop and gos after a performance like Wednesday night's. Now it gets a half hour video session and a practice session involving eight guys banging pucks off the sideboards.

No substitute for hard work for our boys.

You know what, these guys don't need to show up at practise. They can pay someone to show up for them. Why do all the hard work when you can just throw money at the problem. The players are just like the organization.

If that was the "CAT" he would have skated them after the freakin' game!

I posted this in the game thread, but I thought it was particularly appropriate for this thread as well.

From Brooks' BUF @ NYR recap....

Quote:
The Rangers last night looked like they had been thrown together in an adult pick-up league. Maybe the fact that the coaching staff hasn't conducted one full practice since Jaromir Jagr joined the club a week ago yesterday had something to do with it.
And as damning as that is to the coaching staff, I would hope these players would be begging for some kind of practice, yet only 8 of them show up for the last optional skate? Troubling. Very, very troubling.
