Great job with the GDT, FF! It's the first time I've ever seen the B's line-up spelled correctly (phonetically that is).

I'm hoping the Wings still have some jump in their skates after the game last night as I'll be there tonight yelling and screaming.

GO WINGS!!!

Hey guys, B's fan here, coming in peace. Wanted to wish you good luck for this game, just not good enough to win of course .

I've always had a lot of respect for the Wings, and I'm very excited to see how our guys play tonight. Should be a great game.

Also, here's our expected line-up from the Globe:

Sturm-Savard-Kessel
Lucic-Metropolit-Kobasew
Axelsson-Krejci-Schaefer
Reich-Nokelainen-Thornton

Chara-Wideman
Stuart-Ward
Ference-Hnidy

Thomas

Sobotka looks like he's going to be the scratch, and both our tougher customers, Thornton and Reich will be in. I saw Drake was playing, but I get the feeling Downey might make an appearance in this one as well. The B's were his first organization too.

Anyways, here's to a great game.

Hey Fission, you've got to do more GDTs with the "misspelled" names... fantastic.

Something about the New England accent just gets me though... I love it for some reason. Makes me want to go pahk tha cah in Hahvahd Yahd.

Looks like Wideman got caught in a rut or something on that shootout... HATE when that happens.

They really should dress Downey for this game. I hate having to watch chumps like Kobasew push our players around.

Continued from the Avs thread....

Id really like to see the Bruins Coach open up their game abit when healthy.

Its a shame to see Savard and The young kid with the concussion (starts with a B) forget his name atm bottle up. They are both incredibly talented offensively.

Our game really isn't as totally defensive minded as the rest of the league seems to think.

Savard's in the top 10 points, and tied for the league lead with one Pavel Datsyuk in assists, and he does get creative all the time.

I'd actually argue that Julien's system has made him a much more complete player, enabling him to play defense in critical situations when he wouldn't have before.

And Patrice Bergeron hasn't really played under Julien's system that much, as he was hurt in game 10 and has been out ever since.

But he's probably our best all around player, and he would have been given the same opportunity to be creative as well.

I hope this game isn't a snoozer, and I really don't think it will be. We step up our game against good competition (expect for Montreal and I don't wanna get into that now) and can play an up and down game. Even Julien said that the Wings were a team that trapping against would get us killed, so I don't think that's gonna happen.

Hopefully you'll all be pleasantly surprised.

Any word on whether they are or not?

Detroit Free Press blog says that Babcock will dress Downey, depending on who the Bruins dress. Now it looks like the Bruins are dressing Thornton AND Reich so maybe that's what Babcock was looking for?

Oh I'm not worried. THe wings dont play many snoozers. Their style of play usually creates a fun game to watch.

Last bruins games I tried to watch was Bos/ATL (snoozer) and I believe Bos/SHarks (correct me if u dont play them this season). I generally watch a few minutes here and there. It always seems to be a stiffling defensive game with alot of puck dumping. I was suprised to find ATL borring. But they really played the same game and let their super stars game break for them every once and a while.

I do think Bos is a good team though I just dont like watching them. lol.
