I've played against Dagenais, I could ouskate him anyday, but I don,t think I'd do the same against Ryder.... Ryder is much more talented.
Perezhogin would outskate all three of you even if you'd be pushing each others ***** like in speed skating... Ryder is a terrible hockey player with an incredible shot.

I think Perezhogin can be an excellent 3rd liner in the NHL who can be put in a top 6 roll once in a while. I really like his forechecking game.

Perezhogin could stickhandle underwater past all the sharks in the Atlantic with Chuck Norris on his back.

Alexander Perezhogin

20g 18a - 38pts in 43 games in Russia... that is pretty impressive.

Anyone know if he is going to return to the NHL after next year in Russia?

Maybe if he gets traded. I can't see him coming to Montreal for less money.

They could give him Ryder's money (or some of it) and put him on the line with Koivu and Higgins. Not that I advocate ditching Ryder, but it seems pretty inevitable at this point.

That's pretty much a reason he went back to Russia lol, he needs to play on a scoring line plus he makes $1.7 mill a year which is barely taxed.

Giving Perez Ryder's money wouldn't make a guy like Plekanec very happy.

The reason he left was because he got offered a lot of money to play in Russia...you can't just all of a sudden give a guy 3 million for scoring almost a point a game in the RSL.

and people will rip him and Gainey apart when he scores 12 goal and 35 points all year while taking a bunch of hooking penalties.

But if you really need him to play for you, you have to give him 3 million to atleast make it the equivalent to what he's getting in Russia.

Ah...Plekanec will be signing a big hefty long-term extension before long anyway. And I'm not saying give Perez ALL of Ryder's money...but Gainey could match Russia's offer.

Ya, I guess that's possible then

I didn't like Perez's hooking penalties, but Saku does it a lot too and I'm a Saku fan. Perez always had some nice potential, I for one hope he would consider coming back.

If gainey matched the russian offer he'd have to pay him over $3 million due to the difference in taxes between montreal and russia. I don't think he'd have the same success in N.A. as he is in Russia, see Alexei Morozov.

How is the RSL doing, btw? They are throwing some serious money (relatively) around. Are they filling the stands? What's the average crowd (10K-15K) per game?

Nah, I thought a different role with Chipchura, and let's say a guy like Latendresse, would have been nice. The 3 guys could do 40-50-60 points. The guy can play on the PP, and the line would give to Carbo 3 valuable lines + 1 checking line.

2008-09 primitive forward line-up:

A.Kost - Plekanec - Kovalev
Higgins - XXX - S. Kost
Latendresse - Chipchura/Koivu - Perezhogin
Begin - Lapierre - Kostopoulos

With Zhogi in the line-up we'd be battling with Detroit for the Presidents Trophy

Says he recorded 37 points in 40 games and that Bob Gainey is staying updated on him. They also quote Bob Gainey as saying that because of his recent play and since the habs own his rights for two more seasons, his value is getting higher. They conclude by mentioning that it could be an interesting story to follow until the trade deadline.
These performances are in russian, he's still not worth 1.6M in NA (yet)
he would have to accept a 800k 1 year contract or something along those lines.
If he scores 40 goals, then yes, maybe 1.6M will be ok

That league is not high scoring, he's outproducing Yashin who was on a 70 point pace last year in the NHL.

LOL I've said it all along and people laught at me, now people are starting to realize that this team would benefit having Perezhogin than not having him...

Perezhogin >>>> Higgins (at this moment), Ryder, Dandenault, Begin, Lapierre, Latendresse, Kostopoulos, Smolinspuke, Chipchura, Streit (on offence)

Enough said...
