Peak value:

1. Scott Niedermayer
2. Chris Pronger
3. J.S. Giguere
4. Teemu Selanne
5. Guy Hebert
6. Paul Kariya
7. Steve Rucchin
8. Andy McDonald
9. Keith Carney
10. Sammy Pahlsson

(Getzlaf will find his way onto this list by the end of this year. Just not sure where yet.)

Career value:

1. Teemu Selanne
2. Paul Kariya
3. J.S. Giguere
4. Scott Niedermayer (yes, already)
5. Steve Rucchin
6. Guy Hebert
7. Rusty Salei
8. Andy McDonald
9. Sammy Pahlsson
10. Keith Carney

Honorable mention to Robby Nieds and yes, Chris Kunitz. Pronger will probably find his way onto this list by the end of this season as well. Really, the Ducks don't have a lot of great career performers. Do you realize, combining regular season and playoffs, that Scotty was seventh on the Ducks all-time scoring list going into this season? After just two years with the team. That's how barren our history has been.

Personal favorites:

1. Sammy
2. Scotty
3. Rooch
4. Teemu
5. Jiggy
6. Stumpy
7. Perry (love the attitude)
8. Parros
9. Kunitz
10. Getzlaf

HMs: Guy, Andy Mac, Prospal (just for his jubilant goal celebrations, sadly the highlight of the '04 season), Sykora (ditto).

Least favorite: Friesen, Travis Green, Steve Shields.

he's getting mentioned a lot because he was a huge factor in the first stanley cup final trip.

For me I just like him. One of those players who I like where ever he goes and no matter what he does kind of deals. The fact he's not from north america means he get a bonus for me to like him more.

Teemu Selanne
Paul Kariya
J.S. Giguere
Guy Hebert
Steve Rucchin
Scott Niedermayer
Ryan Getzlaf
Sami Pahlsson
Chris Pronger
Bobby Dollas

As for personal favorites, I'd add Bryz, Mikhail Shtalenkov, Sandis Ozolinsh (who I personally liked a lot as a Duck), and Jeremy Stevenson (the reason being that he was born in San Bernardino like I was, which was huge for me when I was a kid. It somehow stuck with me, even though Stevenson kinda sucks.)

I know I'm forgetting someone...

And if just take a look at players who have played for the Ducks, regardless their time in the team I'd go for a list like this:

1. Scott Niedermayer
2. Chris Pronger
3. Teemu Selanne
4. Sergei Fedorov
5. Paul Kariya
6. Adam Oates
7. Steve Rucchin
8. Andy McDonald
9. Fredrik Olausson
10. Sandis Ozolnish

Meh, mine looks something like this:

1a. Adam Oates
1b. Jari Kurri
3. Teemu Selanne
4a. Scott Niedermayer
4b. Chris Pronger
4c. Sergei Federov
7. Paul Kariya
8. Fredrik Olausson
9. Petr Sykora
10. Sandis Ozolinsh

The bottom three aren't too great, but I had to put someone there.

Kurri had 35 points in 82 games as a Duck. He is definitely one of the best European players ever, but I really would not rate him as an all-time top Ducks players list. For short-term Ducks Pronger and Niedermayer made big impact on team and led the Ducks to Cup. Oates was 40 years when he played in Anaheim and still managed to get 45 points in 67 games, which I'll rate above what Kurri did.

If we go just for a list of well-known players who have played for the Ducks he'd make the list, no doubt about it.

I thought you were talking careers, not just time with the Ducks.
