Glencross is an interesting story.
http://www.provostnews.ca/thenews/ar.../march_31.html
He played Midget C at one point before a growth spurt gave him the size to compete with his peers. He was 5'8 or so prior to that.
He's a fearless net crasher, a hard worker, and his hands are surprisingly pretty good. Sort of like someone else we used to have.

glengarry? seriously. Could his parents not settle on a name, so they went with both. lol.
Umm anyway, sounds like an energy player - no biggie, hope he hits. Tarnstrom was not needed here anyway, at least we got something for him.

He's also a rookie this year - putting up similar numbers to Brodziak. Yeah, I suspect Reasoner + Sanderson are 100% gone.

Collect enough of them and you might luck out having one turn into a good 4th liner
I like it. The Oil are defiantly lacking in hitting and forechecking, hope this helps.
young roster player > 4th pick

Meh on this deal, I don't imagine it will make that much of a difference in the long run. If he doesn't impress, we just don't offer him a contract for next year, like we did with Winchester.
Tarnstrom wasn't playing, so its not really much of a loss.

So assuming Glencross will be in the lineup, who comes out?
Penner-Horcoff-Hemsky
Nilsson-Gagner-Cogliano
Moreau-Stoll-Pisani
Glencross-Reasoner-Brodziak
Stortini out?

6 goals 6 assists. He might only be a 4th liner, but he isn't that bad.

Have to wonder what this means for players like JFJ... cause this is JFJ's role.
My thoughts exactly. I wonder if that means if the Oil have given up on JFJ.

not a bad move considering Tarnstrom was not playing...
BUT Tarnstrom was better that at least 2 of our starting 6 dmen so that kind of sucks.

Epic fail.
As for the trade, uh...it's good for Tarnstrom. That's actually all you can say about it.

Lets hope Glencross helps us get a 4th line that can generate energy rather than "not make mistakes".

Didn't someone say that Boston was asking about JFJ a little while ago?

This sounds like a you scratch my back type of deal between friends. However for a bottom six guy, I seem to recall hearing his name a few times in games vs CBJ, and he always sounded like a tough guy to play against.
Not a bad deal, just doesn't make a whole lot of sense this close to the deadline.

IMO
Glencross-Brodziak-Stortini
It's crappy for Reasoner, but Stortini needs to develop for next year. Marty will get back in when Stoll is traded

I don't know really anything about him, but he sounds like a bigger version of Thoresen.

In the last few games he wasn't - I have no idea what happened between the concussion and his return. I hope he does well with the Blue Jackets... looks like we are starting the selling.

Does Thor get sent down to the Falcons now? He could really help them. Unless Glencross is going down himself?
