Backs -Jacks pairing has already had 2 bad outings. As far as Walker, it's obvious Brewer gave his incriminating pics of AM to Matt, leaving Andy no choice but to play him wherever he wants.
Kariya - Tkachuk - Boyes
Stempniak - McDonald - Backes
Mayers - Johnson - Hinote
King - McClement - Walker
Salvador - Brewer
Backman - Jackman
McKee - EJ
Thoughts thru the 1st:
Walker is in the lineup, because AM wanted to add some size to play the Ducks. I'm okay with it as long as Perron isn't out for more than 1 game. I would've kicked Backman out, but w/e.
McDonald didn't dive, but raising your arms and flailing isn't exactly smart with the refs looking for anything to call.
Legace is VERY sharp tonight
Decent 1st period, and Boyes is really not making Pronger happy
Brewer and Sali holding up well against the Getzlaf-Perry-Bertuzzi line....which has been crazy good thus far. EJ is playing with a lot of confidence tonight, same cannot be said for Backman.
Walker with Kariya and Walt?!?!?! I wish I had what AM is smoking.
Boyes came off on the line change and Kariya and Walt were still in the offensive zone. He isn't playing with them. The line changes are gradual, that's why it constantly seems like a grinder is on a scoring line.

Yea, Boyes went off because AM wanted Walker on that line, therefore they played together. It was a one-time thing to try and get a favorable matchup. Plus, I was KIDDING!
Stop trying to teach me the game son.
I'm still not going to get my hopes up too high, but the Blues' playoff chances could be greatly increased with a regulation win tonight vs. Colorado. If we win ALL our games in hand(big if) there is only one team between us and the 7th/8th seed neighborhood....and that is Phoenix.
Still a long road, but this year's stretch run ought to be a lot more exciting than the last few!
