So how are my predictions coming:

Quote:
Here's my prediction:

Tonight: W 4-3 OTL 4-3in SO
Thurs: OTL 2-1 W 4-1
Sun: Big Win on my Birfday agaisnt the Bs 5-2 W 1-0
Mon: W in Buff 4-1 Drury with the Big Game W 3-2
03/14: L in FLA after three days off
03/15: OTL in TB
03/18: W vs Pitt
03/19: L to the Debbies
03/21: OTL in Philly
03/25: W vs Philly
03/27: L vs Debbies
03/28: W in Pitt
03/29: SO w vs Pitt
04/03: L in LI
04/04: W vs LI
04/05: SO W vs Debbies

That puts us at: 9-4-3 or 19 points in our final 15 games, putting us at 97 points.
While my scores have been off, I'm right on for points.

I could easily see us losing 1 or even both of these games. These are both games we should win though...so just like last night was a benchmark game for us in as much as we found a way to beat the Sabres and the refs, the 2 Florida road games are a test to see whether we can beat bad teams on the road. If we play our game we should come away with 3 or 4 points. If we let either of these teams dictate play it's not going to go well.

Looks like history has repeated itself...another brutal road trip to Florida. 2 losses in regulation to non playoff teams. Now the game on Tuesday is a mini must win, or this block is an 0 for.

Can't believe we came away with 2 points tonight...would have been happy with 1.

7 points in the final 8 games should get it done (3-4-1)

I guess we should be happy about the 1 point tonight...but this game really should have had an OT win ending.

Shouldn't that read three of four points needed in this block?

Yeah I think you're right and he made a mistake.

Either way, we should have 0 of 4 points the last two games. The fact that we've managed 3 of 4 where we haven't deserved a point is crazy. These past two games have really given us the ability to stay calm about these past 7 games instead of being in the middle of this battle for the last seed.

you are correct...I updated the first post. but we still need 3 wins in our final 7 to (unofficially) clinch a birth.

Great way to start block 9 with a regulation win over the Devils. You go 2 for 3 on the PP and you win...pretty simply formula really.

If the Rangers win one more or Washington loses 2 points and Buffalo loses 1 point, then the Rangers clinch

Sorry, I screwed up. Didn't realize that Washington has 86 points. So Washington needs to lose (or Rangers gain) 4 points and Buffalo 1.

Thread updated. Big win for the good guys.

1 point out of the next 3 games and we complete our mission of 40 points in 30 games...and should most probably earn a playoff spot.

Carolina will probably be the last and final chance of Washington losing for the rest of the way. So if Washington wins, then the Rangers will need that one if not two points.

Well, we did it. We got our 40 points (41 actually) and in only 28 games. The thought was 94 points would be needed, and we now have 95, with a chance for 4 more.
