I really like Streit playing on the fourth line along with PP duties. Can't wait to get O'Byrne back to take back is slot with Hamerlik. Also really impressed with Gorges. Time for Brisebois to retire.

Not to start a Gainey thread, but that are two awesome trades, Kovy and Gorges and Pacioretty. That somewhat balances the Ribs trade.

Great game by the Habs. They dictated the play, and if not for a bit of penalty trouble, would have controlled the entire sixty minutes of the game. The one thing that has really impressed me with this team is their ability to pass the puck, and deke out opposing players. Some of the moves are just incredible to watch.

I do not want to get ahead of myself, but I think are patience has been rewarded because the team has arrived. They are only going to get better with the number of young players playing on the team and a decent number of players (i.e., prospects) not on the big club. The future does look a lot brighter than a few years ago.

I watched this game, and I have to say, I think that the Canadiens look like very legitimate cup contenders.

Really glad to see Montreal doing so well

Please scratch Brisebois tomorrow. Too much talent on the Rags, they will pick him apart.

Aside from that, the train just keeps on chugging. 13 games over .500 now!

And GO LEAFS GO TONIGHT! I am not scared to say it!

Koivu was very good tonight. That line needs a real finisher (not Ryder) and we're in business.

Solid performance. Outclassed a pretty good team with one of th best tenders in the league without any second line help. Our defence impresses me more every game (Briser excluded obviously)

I'm hoping that was the plan all along. He didn't show he deserved to stay in the line-up anyway.

Begin should be back in tomorrow. As for Kostopoulos, that would depend on whether Dandenault gets scratched after he scored a nice goal (though he had a pretty quiet game otherwise). I don't think I would mind either way although I do like what the Begin-Smoke-Kosto line has been bringing.

I've gotta agree. Even though the Sens are better in most departments, it looks like wecan catch them

Was out of the house this morning so didnt get to see any of the game.... Sounds like they are coming together at home and they played a very solid game today hence a 4-1 victory. Keep the pedal to the metal and keep moving forward....

Gaston Therrien thinks first 10 minutes of the game we should have played better and that we didn't give it to the Islanders hard enough. He even said it was a concern...

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about, we DOMINATED!
