I think we have all noticed Mr. Mac's dimishing health over the years. We really need to get into the playoff's. He is the biggest fan of us all and he won't be around forever. That reality hit home, this year, with the passing of the "Old Left Hander".
My prayer's are with you Mr. Mac and, once again, thank you for bringing Hockey to Columbus.
looks like he'll be ok... pneumonia is a real girl-dog though.
Yep, lying in bed ill when your over 80 exacerbates problems with lung drainage, thus pneumonia. If he is indeed in bed that is. Pneumonia takes the lives of many elderly people if they can't get up and walk around.
Umm... so not sure how to word this without it appearing off-color... but what exactly is the ownership situation? I mean, McConnell is the majority owner, so in the event that he does pass (which, like all of us, he eventually will), what happens? Does he have family with interest in the team? Do his relatives want to sell? Does he have a rich sun in Sante Fe that wants to take the team to a new market?
Anyway, wishing the founding father a speedy and full recovery and many long years with his family and friends.

I hear ya but he's not gone yet. It would be better timing to discuss that issue when and if he passes....

I'm pretty sure his son is already the go-to man. Just don't quote me on that.

As I understand it (and I could be wrong), the majority ownership is mostly invested into the JMAC enterprises company, so if he passed, the next appointed CEO/owner of the company (his son) would take over.
That said, the news article I read said he was stable, so that's good news, and I hope he's doing better soon!
