kings have a team thats very easy to underestimate. i think they give the rangers a run for their money.

Rangers 5, Kings 4

Goals by Dawes, Dubinsky, Prucha, Jagr, and Mara

The Rangers are playing the Kings on the 1 year anniversary of the Sean Avery trade

Yet another game I'll miss, this time because I got roped into a Super Tuesday 'party'. Oh well

If the Rangers just play their game, they should do fine against the Kings. Don't get fancy and don't get lazy

Should be a great day. The parade in a couple of hours and then Rangers/Kings tonight. I'll be at both, and work isn't even an option today.

Lets go Rangers!!

I'll be in the house tonight, Section 413 as usual. I have actually been excited for this game all year. I love the young talent on L.A. and I think this game is going to be much closer than many of us think. Did any of you catch the highlights from Brian Boyle's first game? Kid is huge and can play - kind of what we were hoping Jessiman would be.

This should be a good one.

First off, another great GDT Cherepanov... you are coming into your own.

I could see Kings fans saying "Hey Shannys out! Thats good!" - when its really not.
I could see Rangers fans saying "Hey Blake's out! Thats good!" - it is.

Should be.... no... I EXPECT there will be fireworks tonight, in MSG with Avery against his old team. IM sure there are a few guys on that team who loved him, but also a few who didnt.

I think it might be a weird game tonight.

Good to see Byers up and good to see Renney thinking about making the decision to rest Shanny for a full 2 weeks. Hopefully Byers has a solid game to make himself proud, but also light a fire under Hollwegs ass, making the decision more difficult for Renney when he comes back.

For some reason i like the Byers-Betts combo... i dont know why but i can see them clicking.

I hope im right.

Maybe Renney wont go that 4th line as much because it has a new player on it, and thats also a good thing because Drury - Dawes - Prucha should get more ice time, as should Dubinsky. Theyve been tearing it up.

I expect Jagr to have a good bounce back game.

Nice to see J. Labarbera back in the house, but he may be the reason why the Rangers DONT get the two points.

Get on him early. Hes the type of goalie who can get on a roll. Traffic in front, continue to go to the net. He has stole some games for the Kings this year.

Dont get over confident with this team. Come back from the road and give the Garden crowd the same effort that was shown during the last 3 games.

J-Labs is definitely on those guys who could pull a "Johan Hedberg" on the Rangers, especially since he's motivated to shove it in the face of his former team.

Battle of my fantasy goaltenders. Should be a nail biter for me.

Kings 7-2. Dionne with a hat trick and Dave Taylor with a goal and three assists.

Seriously, the Rangers need to stay focused and disciplined!

Keep it going.

Awards:
If they play a full 60 minutes, they should win.

Last game they only played 40, and look how it ended up.

But seriously, as much as LAKs have been struggling this season, they should not be underestimated. The Rangers need to stay focused, and hopefully the zebras have updated their vision prescriptions and will call the game fairly. (Sure, and there will probably be pigs flying around MSG tonight, too!)

But at least when we lose, maybe we can get Boxcar Hospodar to smack around Dionne and Goalie Lessard..And have Nicky Fotiu jump somebody on their bench..

But yes, seriously, if they play like they have over 8 of the last 9 periods with a commitment to team defense, smart play in their own end, finishing checks and taking offensive opportunities when they can, it should be 4 in a row...Even without Hollweg's offence...

"Must win" tonight.

But these must wins are tricky, and there is a reason for it. Everytime we play these kind of teams; and don't lead by atleast 2 goals after 30 minutes, its like we start to feel negative on the ice. Gets frustrated and loose patient.

Its a fact that Los Angeles only have lost 55% of their games after 60 minutes, they have been atleast tied 24 out of 54 times after 60 this season, and won 21 times.

They are hardly a pushover; and they play with no pressure so if we starts loosing confident and patient it always becomes tough.
