Get Jammer's line matched up on Vinny's line and we could beat them by at least a couple!

Our defense better not be on their heels for this one, or we'll get beat.

I'm not a pessimist...GO BLUES

Good goal by Boyes to tie it up.

Tkachuk ties it up with a PP goal.

Let's hope this doesn't turn into the same back-and-forth game we had against Colorado. We need to string together a few goals in a row.

Perron looks great tonight, what amazing hands he has....a perennial 30 goal scorer in the making. On the flip side, Jackman looks shaky at best...not one but two wiffs on one-timers. Woywitka has been study, one TO, but nice solid plays in the transition game.

Ouch, that hurts, what an odd deflection. Just that kind of season the Blues are having, I guess.

let the selling begin. I'd love Jarmo to have one top-10 pick...and another 1st rounder to work with. They've put forth a nice effort this season, but losing to the Lightning (the last place team in the east, mind you) isn't going to give JD & Pleau a whole lot of faith in their chances of running down the 8-seed.

Sadly, it's not even the big guns from Tampa that are doing all the damage.

1. So ... this means we'd have to go 20-10-0 down the stretch, with that 9-game road trip in March. Anyone buying?

2. As much as everyone's going to howl, Toivonen needs to go between the pipes for a little bit. Legace needs the break, and Toivonen needs the work - sticking him on the bench for the rest of the season because he's struggled the last few times out does nothing for him or the team.

Going to be in Dallas for the game on Saturday and expecting to see Toivenen innet now. Damn Perron is a player, exceptional wrist shot.

I guess the playoff dreams are over...

Although, I will say the Lightning have been exceptional on the road lately, even though half those goals were flukey as hell.

I definitely agree with this point. It seems the Blues aren't going to make the cut, so what do you have to lose? Legace just gave up five goals in each of his last two games (even if a few were rather flukey), so it's not like Hannu could be much worse. Also, Hannu is a RFA after this season, IIRC, so the Blues are going to have to take another hard look at him before deciding how much they're going to offer him.

Do you dare consider offers for Manny at the deadline? Sounds like blasphomy, but he is 35, has a balky knee, team mvp and first time all-star, and likely wont be around when the Blues are making what hopefully are sustained stanley cup runs. Sell high at the deadline?

To shed a few more tears into the beer...

Saturday's (2/9) game is the first of 12 in 19 days to close out February. 3 back-to-backs in that stretch.

We lost points in the standings to every other Western Conference team tonight...and lost a game in hand to those that didn't play.

I'd guess we have a higher probability of finishing in the bottom 5 of the league than we do of making the playoffs.

The two things I'll be watching keenly in the remaining 30 games:

1. Are we tuning out Coach Murray?
2. Is anyone going to step up & claim the leadership mantle for next year?

Can anyone tell me why when we call a time out with 22 seconds left on the clock that our leading goal scorer from last season isnt on the ice? What is Murrays problem with Stempniak? He isnt even getting 12 minutes a game. He set up our 3rd goal tonight with an awesome pass off the boards. I just don't see why he wasnt on the ice more.

Stempniak isn't in my top six on the Blues, simple as that.

Kariya has to be out there.
Boyes has to be out there.
Andy Mac should be out there.
Tkachuk/Backes makes my 4 forwards.
Brewer should be out there.
Only question is the 2nd D-man.
