Carter should have passed on that play near the end of the period.

The woman on the Isles telecast who interviewed Getzlaf sure is tack sharp. After they were done, she said something to the effect of, "..and there goes Ryan Getzlaf of the Ducks, who has 19 goals. His next one will be his 20th."

Er...

But what if he scores from behind the 3 point line?

OT, but if fans are really serious at wanting more scoring in the NHL, I think they will have to institute some kind of 2 point line. Because defenses right now are collapsing and preventing goals by forming a wall of shotblocking. Sort of like basketball, the solution would be to institute some kind of "key" or a "2 point line" to force defenders to spread out.

But I'm against measures to increase scoring.

We really need to send a big gift basket to DiPietro. Those 2 goals were pretty weak.

Nice pass by Bertuzzi to get Weight a tap in goal.

Selanne's doing great on the forecheck.

Notice how much better the guys have been in terms of having guys in position to screen/for rebounds? That's been huge. (Hazy's observation, not mine).

Before this game, I was starting to forget what it looked like for a Duck to score a goal.

The one thing I do know, the Ducks do not need a second line center. Absolutely solid down the middle, Doug Weight is the solution, anyone who says otherwise has cotton for brains....

I'm surprised weight scored. I mean, he's been off target for a while! Even his last goal was a luck goal off of a d-man's skate!

Got home from the doctor's office and then voting in time see Marchant and Weight score. Way to go Ducks, great to see Teemu back out there!

It was good to see Richard Park sitting on the bench for the Isles. Got to love the local boy that grew up skating at the same mall you did.
