Drafting the Dallas Stars: #4..

If all the players attached in any way (prospects, pending UFA's, RFA's) to the Dallas Stars, were thrown into a big pool, what would be the order they would be drafted in?

Take age, potential, impact, value, whatever you may like into consideration. However, in order to make the veterans on the team still somewhat valueble, the objective of the draft is to win the Stanley Cup within the next 5-7 years.

Ribeiro edges out Marty Turco at #4.

Steve Ott has been added.

Who goes fourth?

#1) Brenden Morrow (8/17 votes -> 47%)
#2) Matt Niskanen (11/19 votes -> 58% tiebreaker vs Ribeiro)
#3) Mike Ribeiro (10/26 votes -> 38% )

voted for Sergei Zubov. He may be old, but he's still one of the best and easily the most important player on our team when he's healthy.

Seeing votes for Jokinen, Hagman, Neal or even Smith makes me scratch my head a little. I can't really imagine how Niklas Hagman, as much as I love him, will be a bigger contributing factor of winning a Stanley Cup within the next 5-7 years than a Jere Lehtinen, Mike Modano or Philippe Boucher, all who have zero votes so far.

'cause they'll be dead by then. Even Zubie will be 43 in 5 years.
