Bottom line is we have to play smart and focus on defense and backchecking and have The King be The King..Totally expect Avery to be really involved (smart is another question) and to see at least one Orr-Parros bout...Goitta get some good stuff from Jagr....
Agree with everything, but the Bottom line is an unreasonable expectation. To have The King and The Team both playing well is too much to ask for, IMO. Let alone JJ, who has became The Master of the Outside.
Let us hope for the best...

Yeah for the Rangers to win tonight Jagr will have to do something offensively.

A Goal.

Two Assists.

something.

I feel good for some reason going into this game. Losing to LA was an embarrassment. I hope the boys respond...

I think he will have a big game: 2 goals (one empty net) and 2 assists

That will all depend on which team shows up - the hardworking guys that we saw an all too brief glimpse of for a few games, or the pod people who can't quite figure out what to do with the puck.

Unfortunately, since it's the Ducks, I'm afraid the pod people will be out in full force tonight.

Betts Playing - Malik Out

http://ordinaryleastsquare.typepad.c...shirtbulletin/

UPDATE: Betts will play, but Malik will not -- he won't be ready until the weekend pair in Philly and DC. Shanahan still out, likely to miss the next three games, enjoy the five-day break next week, and then come back. Moore will be sent back to Hartford. Thanks to Rangers Report and Blue Notes for the report from the morning skate

And Shanny to rest

Ducks are looking to build on the win against the Islanders. Expect inspired performances by Getzlaf and Perry as they look to gain playing time with Selanne. The D is solid, Giguere is in a zone after being yanked from a few games. Ducks 5, Rangers 2.

As someone else said

Ducks 6
Rangers 1

no chance the Rangers win this one, we utterly suck against West teams.

The DUcks are much bigger than we are, losing to the Kings is still bothering me, losing this one doesn't help matters, ugh.

3-1 Ducks.. this team will show up and it might be close, but we'll still get beaten by a much superior team.

I don't think it is team. I think it is Lundqvist being very talented lacks some knowledge about the players he rarely sees. Experienced goalies do not need that as much, but he is not the one yet. The answer to it is better team defense. And prayer, obviously...

Not the team? That's big news for me. I who thought it was because of the team we were constantly outworked and gave up a huge number of quality scoring chances, while ourselves having the offensive bite of a blind dog without teeth. Now I know it was because of the goalie...

Malik should have played tonight. He can't be more awful than Strudwick has been (it's his turn to sit) and should have the chance to prove his continuing mean streak after he beat up Avery. Frustration leads to aggression.

This has to be one of the funniest Rangers pictures this year, along with the Dubinsky one.
