Another positive...

After a series of shellings Norrena had in goal, back to back solid games are a sign that Norrena is getting it together and it has to be a boost to his confidence. Let's hope that continues for him.

Have a good one everyone and the Pens will wear out the Kings for ya's tomorrow so you guys can have an easy game Sunday
Thanks for the support and we hope that happens.

Freddy's back to his normal form.

As long as the team that played tonight shows up against LA, we'll get two points.

Good road trip, but if we don't win the next 2 games at home this means nothing

So if Pazzy is back for Sunday like he's supposed to be... do you ride Norrena or do you go back to Leclaire?

That's a brain buster.

Ride Freddy. His psyche could use it and its best not to rush back a goalie from an injury.

You gotta go back to Pazzy Sunday, he's the reason we have a chance at the playoffs.

I'm happy with the way the team played tonight, I hope they do it every night.

I'd go Freddy No for at least one more game. He's earned it and I don't think the extra rest would hurt Pazzy.

I think I'd be tempted to go Freddy and give Pazzy a bit more rest. But I have confidence Hitchcock will make the right choice.

I say Pazzy if he is ready .. Freddy played back to backs then has to fly to Columbus and play at earlier game time on sunday .. .. BUt I say that all should depend on what time they land in columbus and how much rest he can get ..

I'd take Freddy Sunday. He's doing well, prevents rushing Pazzy back too quickly if he's able to play but not back up to 100%. But that's Hitch's call, not mine.

To be honest, picking the goalie Sunday is a toss up if Leclaire is healthy. If Leclaire is not able to play then I'd play Mason....

Shocked, oh well.

Our Team -- Lately

It occurs to me that perhaps our team has more faith in themselves than their fans do. I include myself here too, of course. We (a lot of us anyway) started to feel like a "lost cause" about 6 games back. We talked about games being crucial to making the playoffs then. Of course, they all are at this point, but what I am getting at here is the difference in the way our team has played these last 2 games. Maybe they thought "that" was when crunch time began, and felt enough confidence to believe they were still in it, long after a lot of us fans had lost hope. If that's true, then more power to 'em and GO JACKETS!!!!!

Having said that, I hope it's not just what someone said about how good they start playing once they feel the pressure's off.

I missed the first period, but from what I seen we didn't play too bad. Naby made some great saves, some shots we could have had on him, but I think it was a great effort against a good San Jose team. 3 out of 4 points for this short road trip, hopefully it's a sign for our looooonngg trips we have coming up. Hopefully this is what to expect (effort not result) in the next couple of months, and not the eggs they layed after the break.

Very entertaining game. Lots of pressure in the offensive zone. Too bad Chimera didn't get an assist for the Gordie Hattie. I'm fine with getting a point on the road in San Jose, where we've only one once ever, but we really need to come home and grab 4 points from LA and Chicago before the roadtrip starts.
