I went Hugh on a whim. The next three are Hugh, Dupont, and Byers for me. All three could be good 4th liners with possible 3rd line upsides. Potter still feels like he'd be a fringe 6 or 7 dman.

Going with Byers.

Is anyone else really disappointed at the fact that last years 2nd round pick will probably fail to make our top 20?

I really hope he comes around.

Ur gonna vote on guys who can be good 4th liners compared to Zaborsky who has 2nd line potential?

I think he is taking into consideration the chance of reaching the NHL. Zaborsky is a huge wild card. He could become Henrik Zetterberg or never play an NHL game. Now that I think about it I don't get how this guy is falling under the radar. 51 points in 50 games in the OHL, 24 of which were goals. He just turned 20, so it's not like he has little devlopment time. We probably won't know for 3-4 years, but he cold turn into a keeper.

Zaborsky is a good prospect--no way would I put him ahead of Byers or Dupont. A smallish 20 year old putting up a point a game in the OHL is good but it's hardly extraordinary. Beyond that the Rangers don't have a big need for more small finesse types when we already have so many in our lineup--Gomez, Straka, Drury, Prucha, Dawes. The Rangers however do have a need for larger, more aggressive players and while I agree that Byers upside is third line--maybe fourth line--reading Leslie's article also makes it plain that here is a guy that provides traffic to the net and has good hands in close--something we see very little of from our current NHL lineup. And Byers is a lot safer bet to reach and stay in the NHL than Zaborsky who is an overage junior player. The fact that Byers also has no problem with dropping the gloves is just icing on the cake.

No... he's 25 years old. There's a reason the Hawks traded him to us for crap.
