These past 2 games underscore just how important the PP and PK are.

These past 2 games underscore just how important the PP and PK are.

Scored 2 PP goals against the Flyers, and gave up 0, They won.

Scored no PP goals on 6 full powerplays, and gave up 2 of their own, they lose.

It's not rocket science.

A 4 on 3 in overtime with Ovechkin out there is almost like a 5 on 3. Rangers had some good opportunities on the pwp. Kolzig seemed a little shaky early but he was a real difference maker in this one. Jagr seems to be working but not having a lot of luck. Mara had some great bombs from the point which left rebounds--couldn't convert. Drury and Avery were both absolutely robbed in the third. Either one of them would have had another goal with just a little bit of elevation.

Hollweg is the goat for this game. How do you take a hooking penalty with 30 seconds left against a team that has three of the most dynamic forwards in the game? We're lucky we got the point.

A PPG is more than just a goal...

it helps struggling forwards get their game back at ES. Jagr, Straka, and Prucha in particular need the PP game to get their ES game going.

Of course it's also a difference maker in games, but this team can afford to improve at even strength too.

nope, not rocket science. you go 0-6 on the power play (especially on the road) and you deserve to lose.
