Prospect update

1/28 -- Any additions, corrections, and/or comments are welcome. This comes from a WildInsider email, but it's public information, after all.

<strong>D <em>Jean-Michel Bolduc</em></strong> has tallied 36 points (7-29=36) in 46 games for the Rimouski Oceanic (25-19-4-3) of the QMJHL. He leads team defensemen in scoring and is a +7 with 106 penalty minutes.

<strong>C <em>Armands Berzins</em></strong> has recorded 18 points (8-10=18) in 37 games for the Louisiana IceGators. Louisiana is in first place of the Central Division of the ECHLs Western Conference with a 29-10-2 record.

<strong>C <em>Michal Bros</em></strong> ranks second on Sparta Praha (20-1-4-15-2) of the Czech Republic Elite League in scoring with 32 points (11-21=32). He is a +5 and has recorded 34 penalty minutes.

<strong>LW <em>Adam Courchaine</em></strong> leads the Vancouver Giants (21-18-8-5) of the WHL in scoring with 63 points (29-34=63) in 50 contests. He has recorded 11 power play goals and three game-winning tallies to go along with 26 penalty minutes.

<strong>LW <em>Marcin Kolusz</em></strong>, Courchaine's teammate, has notched 14 points (4-10=14) in 47 games.

<strong>RW <em>Mike Erickson</em></strong> leads the Des Moines Buccaneers (15-18-3) of the USHL in goals with 21 and is tied for first on the team in scoring with 36 points (21-15=36) in 36 games.

<strong>C <em>Danny Irmen</em></strong> has notched ten points (6-4=10) and 20 penalty minutes in 26 games for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers (14-9-3) during his freshman season.

<strong>C <em>Mikko Koivu</em></strong> has potted 19 points (3-16=19), 20 penalty minutes and is a +21 in 32 games for TPS Turku of the Finnish Elite League, who are in second place with a 23-11-9-3 record.

<strong>LW <em>Mathieu Melanson</em></strong> has scored 32 points (10-22=32) in 44 games this season in the QMJHL. He started the season with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens before being traded to the Quebec Remparts (17-28-4-1) on January 6.

<strong>D <em>Grigory Misharin</em></strong> has tallied 11 points (3-8=11) in 46 matches for the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL (12-32-2-3).

<strong>C <em>Patrick O'Sullivan</em></strong> leads the Mississauga IceDogs (24-11-6-2) in scoring with 57 points (31-26=57) in 34 games. He has notched 11 power play goals, six game-winning goals and four shorthanded goals. O'Sullivan suffered a shoulder injury last week that has forced him to miss the last two games, including the 2004 OHL All-Star Game.

<strong>G <em>Barry Brust</em></strong> is 15-15-2 with a 2.86 GAA and a .905 save percentage in 36 WHL games. He was traded to the Calgary Hitmen (25-17-6-4) from Spokane on January 6.

<strong>G <em>Frederic Cloutier</em></strong> is 14-4-2 with a 2.36 GAA, a .915 save percentage and two shutouts for Louisiana of the ECHL. He was named the Outstanding Goaltender at the ECHL Skills Competition stopping 14 of 16 shots faced on January 20. Cloutier was recalled by Houston due to an injury suffered by Kyle Kettles and started one game (5-3 loss at Cleveland 1/23) before being reassigned to the IceGators.

<strong>G <em>Josh Harding</em></strong> is 16-19-2 with a 2.58 GAA, a .921 save percentage and three shutouts in 37 WHL contests. He ranks third in the league in save percentage. Harding was traded to the Brandon Wheat Kings from Spokane on January 7.

Looks like most of them are doing pretty good in there respective leagues. Gotta like Hardings save %! Poor record though...His team must not score for him much..

Regina is a low scoring team. Hardings #'s are not so great since his trade to Brandon. Not terrible, though I have no clue if he's played well despite his numbers since we don't get to see him play here in MN. His save% and GAA are higher in the 9 games he's played with them.
