2004 NHL Entry Draft

I know it is way too early to talk about Entry draft... I am just wondering... Any of you have access to Mckeen'shockey.com or any other website where they have information about 2004 Entry draft prospect... Is there anyway you can give us any information about top goalies or Wingers or Power Forward who Flyers might have chance to draft with the 2nd round draft pick... Thank you!

I think wingers is a priority, unless there is a really good goalie available. We don't need puck moving D right now, but a physical one would be nice, but with Markov being here now, not quite as urgent as it was
Other than Randy Jones, the Phantoms have no prsopects on the team right now, Nittymaki and Sharp are up, Vandermeer and Seidenbreg are hurt, Woywitka traded, it's not evan worth following them at this point.

I would say a mid to late 1st rounder is most likely what it would take to get Montoya. I don't think he would usually go around there, but I think some team desperate for a goalie will trade up to get him. It all really depends on how much any certain team likes him, even if his stock drops, I still don't see him going past the middle of the 2nd round.

Montoya will probably be picked after Marek Schwartz, but long before the Flyers pick. He is a mid to late first rounder, after his WJC performance, maybe higher

Does anyone know how many picks Flyers have... All I know Flyers don't have 1st round pick and I think Flyers have two 2nd round pick... One(flyers own), Two(LA kings)... Can they these two picks to move up to get Al Montoya... I don't know rest of the picks... If anyone know can post on this board... Thank you..

May be Flyers can trade Chris Therian before trade dead line for 2nd or 3rd round pick since flyers will have long jam in Defense... Then Flyers can use that pick with two 2nd round picks to move up in 1st round like cCarke did in 2002... He probably not going to get top 15 picks but he sure can get a 1st round pick...

If they move up for a goalie wouldn't it be for one they think can be a franchise goalie? Does Montoya have that potential?

I don't think we could get a third round pick for Therien, at best a fourth unfortunately.

The Flyers dealt their second for Chouinard last year.
They do not have their first or second.
LA 2nd
Phi 3rd
Those are the top two picks
They have extra picks in the fifth/sixth rounds
Therien would get a fourth and maybe a third if we throw in one of the extra 6th

The flyers gave up their 2nd round pick in the amonte deal. I doubt we'll move into the first round, but it's always possible.

I've heard that this draft is pretty bad after the top 10

A goalie I could see Bobby taking in later rounds could be Dan LaCosta of Owen Sound.. He is coached by Mike Stothers there and is the 5th rated NA goalie.
