Lalime lets one in from the blueline

Completely deflated his team.

Wow, what an amazing turn of events for this game. The 5th goal by Young was equally bad.

Lalime just lost his job tonight. What a TERRIBLE job of goaltending.

That was quite the 3rd period collapse by the sens.

Lalime has let in some very, very weak goals this year. Last year at this time, I was really thinking he was an underrated goalie. I notice some Sens fans on the site are turning sour on him, and even Mcguire points out tonight that Lalime is a weak link for Ottawa. I think they might be shopping for a netminder come deadline time...

Turco got burned ...but Lalime was even worse...

Oh..my God! Going 3-1 into the third and letting in absolutely horrible goals. I hope for the Sens' Cup hopes he will improve his play.

Lalime lost his confidence, I would get Emery up for a couple of games and see if he may be the solution untill Lalime finds his game. I don't trust Prusek in nets, horrible fundamentals.

We are not going to win no cup with this kind of pathetic goaltending. Absolutely pathetic. The sens had this game but Lalime, like his usual self, lets in one in the last few minutes.

As if those games when the sens totally dominated and were outshooting their opponents by huge margins and somehow the score was close and the sens even lost some of those games(a 3-2 loss to the Habs comes to mind earlier this year, that 3-3 tie vs the Pens, etc) weren't proof Lalime can't get the job done...this one just confirmed it.

Sens need an upgrade in goal to go all the way.

Prusek is not your typical butterfly goalie but he stops the damn puck! An enigma that is currently haunting Lalime.

That was the ugliest goal I've ever seen.

Lalime just seemed to stare at the puck as it trickled across the goal line; was he stoned or what?

Maybe we're not even talking about the same goal here but the one I saw was: U-G-L-Y.

I never want to hear about Cloutier's gaff against Detroit in the playoffs ever again.

Damn, it looked like the Sens had the two points bagged.

Wow.

Last year, Lalime was the next Brodeur and anchored Ottawa's Cup hopes, now everybody's jumping off the bandwagon ?

At least Cloutier won't be lonely ...

This is why we should get rid of the red line. It will save goalies from mucho ridicule.

Since When? Most have placed the loss against the Devils against him, he blew games 3 and 4 and put the team down 1-3.

Hate to be the one to mention this, but maybe the Sens getting totally outworked and outplayed 5 on 5 for basically the entire game has something to do with the collapse as well.

I was gonna say...i felt that Ottawa's defense let Dallas back into the game...that goal is the obvious easy thing to blame...but the defense was soft.

Fact is, Ottawa had at least one point lined up before he blew it.
Good teams CAN be outplayed and still win, you know.

Amen.

BTW, Prusek's fundamentals were good enough for him to demolish all AHL existing records and leed his team to the finals if I recall correct. I'm not saying he is the answer but at the very least he can not be any worse. I really think Muck should take a flyer on Burke he would be the perfect fit for a year or 2 until Emery is ready.

Was this goal was worse than the one Neidermeyer scored on Hackett? I think it was Hackett. Was it Hackett?

Well, *duh*. Everyone knows that.

I'm saying it's a little funny that all the ire is directed at one person when the Sens were awful, except on special teams. How about some accountability for all the OTHER players who played like crap? There were lots, you know.

What made it so terrible is that it just trickled behind him for an agonizingly long period of time, no joke, like 5 seconds and he just sat there. All of this compounded by the fact that it came in the last minutes of the game andcost the Sens any chance at one or two points.
