I think once George returns we need to send Rimmer and Gare to Syracuse so they can spend some time improving their gamecall, bring up McElligott for the radio, and put George and Bill in the TV booth. We may also want to consider trading for Shelley; he strikes me as a fairly promising color analyst prospect.

I love George dearly; he's the reason I started paying attention to this "hockey" thing at all. Here's hoping everything works out.

I was listening to McElligott last night on XM, I thought he did a fantastic job. Not as good as George, mind you, but I sure like listening to him more than Rimer.

I'm not saying that Rimer is a bad guy or anything, I just think he sounds bush league and he makes too many mistakes.

I'd think George would work better on TV than on radio.

I listen on my mp3 player while at the games, and it was completely different without George. Comparable to George, the Crunch guy put me to sleep. You dont realize what you have till its gone, take care of the family and get back soon!

I agree - he had no enthusiasm. He was very knowledgeable but if he said David V-eye-borny one more time....I don't know why but that drove me nuts. He mispronounced someone else too but that name escapes me. I ended up shutting off my mp3 in the second period. I just hope that Bill and George sign new contracts this year. It wouldn't be the same without them.

Uh, isn't that how its pronounced?

I've heard it that way many times, as well as "vuh"-borny, which I've never particularly cared for.
