The Great Canadian Road Trip

[IMG][/IMG]

Grab your tickets and hit the road!!

I decided, after a Mod-Nod, that we need a thread dedicated to the Jackets upcoming trip through the Great White North. Please use this thread for everything trip related that doesn't fit into any of the GDTs. This is ground zero for Who's Who and Where It's All At. Could also be a good place to show off your creativity with some original artwork.

So... I'll be at the Toronto game. (I'm pretty sure that I'll be the only one in a Jackets jersey that says SCREAMINGWILD on the back!)

Go ahead, jump in, what are your plans??????

I'm very loosely considering driving out to watch the Flames and/or Oilers games in early March. Have to see what kind of rag-tag crew I can round up for a road trip.

Going to the Toronto game, and MAN AM I EXCITED!
I'll likely be wearing my brand new Zherdev Home Jersey.

I was going to make this thread tomorrow, mod-nod or not.

I'll be at all three games. I'll be driving up to Toronto on gameday with my buddy, a Kingston native. We should be in Toronto around 3ish. Not sure what's around the arena for a meet up place. Anyone want to suggest a place?

I'll be at the Habs game on the 23rd. So effing excited for it, my first Jackets game!

Things are going to sloppy for ole Macster Saturday night. I'm gonna put a real dent in poor Montreal!

EDIT: I guess it will be tough to get a Jackets jersey there- what's the best way to get an authentic before next Thursday?

That'll be real tough. I got a replica Chimera and Zherdev around Christmas time and it took almost a month to get them. Maybe shop.nhl.com with priority shipping?

Uh oh.

Maybe that could be an option. I've got a jersey question: With the new RBK Edge jerseys, what are the main differences between the Premier and the Authentics?

The way I see it is that the Premier has screen-printed shoulder patches. Am I right?

This may sound strange, but I actually prefer the CBJ's practice jerseys. They are SWEET!

I'd love to go these games in Canada, a pipedream though. I think I'd be a little intimidated in Toronto (and maybe fear for my life) But I'd love to see a Canadiens game in person.

Intimidated, why? They haven't won a Cup in the last seven years either! (But boy, do they ever plan a lot of parades... )

Correct. And a stupid jock tag on the bottom left. It still looks pretty good, and I don't have the money to shell out $200+ for a jersey, even if it is for my beloved Jackets.

I'll be at the Vancouver game. Nosebleeds! Yeah!

I'm a fan of both teams so I think I'll just wear my Blackhawks jersey.

I'll be sitting in the Desjardins in 201, where are you at?

Who else is going to the Habs game?

THIS is the game that I most wanted to attend but being as Toronto is about an hour and a half from home, Toronto it is.

The Bell Centre will be rocking that night. There is Gainey's number retirement ceremony and it would be too cool if the Jackets/Habs game is on Hockey Night In Canada but that's a long shot in my area. At any rate, I'm sure the Jacket fans will represent well!

The JacketBackers (CBJ fan club) is planning a bus trip to Montreal, stopping in Syracuse for a game Friday night. Only downer is you have to come up with your own tickets to the Habs game.

I'd be more intimidated in Montreal than Toronto. Toronto is full of suits who watch the game in between closing deals over their cell phones - Montreal fans are hooligans who will follow you out to your car. Fun times, though!

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Toronto. Hope to be there between 3 and 4. Does anyone (Screaming) want to recommend a place to meet up? Looking for suggestions for Ottawa and Montreal as well.

In Montreal I've already worn my detroit jersey and anaheim jersey. I didn't have trouble in the Anaheim game because I was in the lower reds. For the detroit game I was higher and there I had some problems. If you're anywhere in the arena except for the lower red, prestige or platinum seats you're going to have a few problems especially if you're in the nose bleeds. Hardcore French quebequer fans up there. You're probably not going to understand what their saying because 1. they'll be cursing at you in french and 2. they're drunk before the game even starts lol
