Folks, we're opening GDTs way too early. I think anything before eight is pushing it. But this one didn't even take place on the calender day of the game.
I understand that these are critical games (and eagerly anticipate the two threads saying that) but I don't really don't want GDT's a week before a game.
May I ask why Norrena is not playing tonight? Two strong road games and no recognition? Pascal hasn't won all month, and hasn't looked great doing it either. Norrena was great on back-to-back road games.

Maybe Freddie will get to do the road show again over the next week.
This is a true must win game. If we lose we have to consider becoming sellers and call this the most successful year in the history of the franchise.
I tend to agree with you. The games leading up to the d/l are tough, and I think the buyer/seller question will be pretty clear by the 26th. We've given up points in games we should have won. Tonight is another opportunity to stay afloat. Hope it's not squandered. I'll be to the game late, but I'll be there.

perhaps the more pertinent question would be, Why didn't Norrena play vs LA. But in the end, we have a great tandem thats got a 1.33 GAA over the past 3 games, 2 of which were road games that Norrena yielded only a single goal in each of. I'm confident in both of our tenders, and Leclaire, statistically, shuts out his opponent almost 25% of the time.
Think about that, we basically have a 1 in 4 chance of winning when he starts based on his performance alone. He is our #1, and he is healthy.
It's not like Ty Conklin is our back-up. I figured Norrena didn't start against LA becuase of resting after his back-to-back. I thought he'd play tonight after resting and since Leclaire lost on Sunday.

Ty Conklin should be excused from these types of comments. He's a good goalie.

Although if he played when he was here like he is now in Pittsburgh we may not pick up a Freddy No

I think Conks came as a free agent after the trade for the Freddies. You're right that he's played very well this season for the Pens.
