We shall see...

hopefully it's different, or hopefully becomes the player he was the lsat two seasons. I just think he needs a guy to move the puck with him and he needs to move around a lot. Those shots he took were a result of him moving around and getting the puck back and being able to take a shot while the defenders were caught moving around, especially on the PP.

But even if he gets open, is he going to shoot the puck?

We he shoot?

definitely. He's always looking for the perfect pass or shot - if he moves around and has a clear shot, he'll take it. He's off pace from previous seasons' by a good amount, but he's still taking a fair amount of shots. But one issue is if you don't get the puck in position to shoot, you'll be less inclined to shoot. With a minute+ less on average on the PP, and with him not moving around much on the PP, I'm pretty confident that's partially the explanation for his fewer shots this season.

We'll see. I agree a lot of this is on Jagr, but I also think that he really didn't click well with Dubi previously, and lately on the PP, and I believe that Gomez is better-suited as a center to Jagr (especially on the PP) and Dubi is better suited with Shanny and Dawes.
