Huet, Komisarek, Higgins, Both Kostitsyns, Plekanec, McDonagh, Pacioretty and Chipchura for Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Kronwall, Filpulla, Smith, Hudler and pick...

How many threads about Huet being traded do we need... honestly lol

Simply put, no. Any playoff team that looks to go deep into the playoffs isn't going to look at Huet as their go-to goalie. He simply hasn't played enough in the playoffs for that. We, of course, will go with him for as long as we can, and who knows, maybe he'll lead us to the holy grail.

Osgood got pulled tonight for the second game in a row. Detroit is stumping lately...need better goaltending than that to get out of the tough West conf.

That would be a blockbuster if we traded the wings Huet, and imagine the Habs play him in the finals.
Price vs Huet I would seriously wonder who some people on this board would cheer for.

If we get to the Finals....I would hope Huet was in net for the Wings. I would rather face Huet than Nabs or JSG.

Of course you would you are a logical hockey fan.

Thats like saying I would rather face Thomas over Brodeur in the East finals.

We would smoke Huet....we know all his weaknesses....AND one of his prime weaknesses is point shots....something our high scoring D excels at! If we could get a good return for Huet then I'd say go for it. I have confidence in a Price Halak tandem for years to come.....and if one should fail we still have Danis in waiting.

How are point shots a weakness of a goalie? The problem is wingers not getting in the shooting lane and d-men not clearing the front of the net...but I guess in Montreal it's always the goalie's fault

Some people on here are so clueless it's not even funny.

Don't the habs need a goalie? Price is too young and Huet clearly sucks too much to give us a chance to win.

Right, i forgot that the Leafs think they will surprise the hockey world by getting in he series and then winning the Stanley Cup!

Their ranking right now is all part of the plan and they are making sure not to attract undue attention by laying low at the bottom of the standings...

I wasn't aware that Ottawa needed goaltending because I think Emery and Gerber should be able to do the trick.

I also wasn't aware we were prepared to just ship off our starter and run in as a playoff team with a 20 year old rookie goaltender.

Price gets to play against the Flyers tonight, he wins and with the new Carbo "win and stay in" policy it will spark a goalie conterversy no doubt about it.

Say over the next 10 days Price is hot and plays the games going into the trade deadline...we play including tonight 5 games: Flyers twice in a home/home, Rangers, Penguins and Blue Jackets.

All the games are home games except for one in the home and home this weekend and all are against teams fighting to make the playoffs or for their division leader spot (- minus Jackets).

Price could win tonight, but maybe given the night off tomorrow because of back-back games. But, say he is told he is getting the Rangers game because of his play on Tuesday still...what happens if he wins those 3 in a row???

Is he knocking Huet off the #1 perch then? If Carbo has implemented a win and in policy that to me doesn't say your #1, it says if you want to play you have to win!

I feel more secrure in net with a 20 year old like Price than Huet still, the guy (Huet) has helped but he isn't the future and if Price starts to put it together I say maybe use that extra trade bait you have in Huet to get a 1st rounder and maybe a vet back up from another team who is looking for a #1. The only way Huet doesn't get traded is because the only market for him maybe in the East and Montreal isn't going to make that trade.

Flame away....
