MTL can get a suitable Hossa jersey from La Source du Sport if they need one in a hurry. Other equipment takes around a day to make, and I'm sure teams don't order equipment for other teams' players without good cause.
I'm not so sure they could, but I don't know the ins and outs of official game jerseys. I do know that game worn jerseys have patches sewn in them with an official code and mentioning the season it was used for. My Kostitsyn game worn has an 04-05 patch sewn into it as it was made in the belief they would play that season. Obviously it all went south and so before the 05-06 season, they also stitched in a patch for that season with the official code of the jersey. I assume as the league hands out the jerseys that teams aren't able to just buy any jersey and stitch such patches in themselves. Hence, I doubt they could just go out and buy a jersey for Hossa from a local shop. There was a pic of those patches on KostitsynNet, but that site has been down a while. But if anyone is particularly interested, let me know and I'll try and find it, or post it when I get home.

for the Power-Play, we can use AK on the point. It would be like:

Hossa-Plekanek-Kovalev
Markov-A.Kostitsyn

Higgins-Koivu-Latendresse
Hamrlik-S.Kost
I'm expecting the trade if it involves Ryder and Streit to involve something else..

Ryder + Streit + 1st Round Pick 2008.

Possible additions to the deal: Kyle Chipchura, Alexei Emelin, Alexander Perezhogin, Mikhail Grabovski, Matt D'Agostini, Maxim Lapierre, Milroy/Locke/Ferland, Weber/Carle/Subban, Ryan White.

Its sure, but I truly don't care about the draft pick. We have so many good prospect that we can affort to lose an Low first round pick.

At the very least, we can come out of this whole ordeal knowing that teams special order equipment for every player they try to trade for at the deadline.

This is so educational.

So basically, we've got a 40 pages topic with nothing new !
We're really the craziest fans in the world ...

I say that, but I'm all excited inside

If Boring Bob can pull out a Marian Hossa without touching his first 2 lines, he'll be near god status !

Habs fans are setting themselves up for a huge, huge disappointment . I can already see the massive stupidity coming if Gainey does only minor moves.

Weird. I only heard about it way later but maybe TSN only reported it during the late edition. Not sure.

And if he doesn't the collective IQ of the fan base will drop 60 points for a few days until they see the Habs can still win with the same team.

And for what it's worth, I couldn't care less about this year's 1st and 2nd. The point of drafting in the higher rounds is to obtain a franchise player anyway. No point in waiting another 3 years for yet another draft pick to make an impact.

Hell, I'm looking forward to it. Maybe Statsmaniac can whip up a graph of the emotional level of these boards from here to July 1st.

That's for sure, a player like Hossa is well worth a low first round pick. Next year though, they need to keep their picks, best draft since 2003.

I think the more "informed" fans will definetly understand that if no move was it was because the demands were outlandish.

If the rumor is true, by sending Streit, a first rounder, Ryder and a prospect, can I conclude that Hossa is possibly only a rental because Bob is sending 2 pending UFA?

The very same nutbars that wanted to tar and feather Gainey for not signing Briere can be found mocking Briere and praising Gainey.

The Marian Hossa Sweepstakes are on hold – for now.

Amid published reports out of Montreal, that the Canadiens have ordered equipment for Hossa in the event they secure his rights, and out of Ottawa, where the Senators are apparently in a holding pattern on Hossa, the focus in Atlanta today is strictly on the Thrashers' game tonight against Carolina.

Sources say Atlanta GM-head coach Don Waddell is in full coach mode today and won't be working the phones or advancing any trade talk for the talented winger who is likely to be dealt before Tuesday's NHL trade deadline.

But sources also told TSN that before Waddell resumes trade talk on Hossa, he wants to take one final stab at seeing if he can sign the winger to a contract extension. That effort, the source said, would likely take place on Friday. If it's unsuccessful, and Hossa himself has been quoted as saying it's a longshot he would re-sign in Atlanta before July 1, then Waddell will attempt to close a deal for Hossa this weekend.

Teams reportedly interested in Hossa include Montreal, Ottawa, New Jersey, Detroit and San Jose, amongst others.

I think you're forgeting the part where Hossa is on one of those PP units....
