I wouldn't take Jason Blake for future considerations with his contract.

lol.....not a chance.

We'll leave one of the worst shooting percentages in the entire league where it belongs, thanks. And that contract is just ugly, good luck finding any team that wants him.

No way...You know what you are going to get out of Ott and Barch each game. With Blake not so much! Plus we just resigned Barch to a 2 year deal.

Jason Blake would be your 2nd best forward behind Brenden Morrow, Krys Barch is a plugger that makes just over the league minimum. Newsflash : Dallas was hot and heavy over Blake in the offseason and guess who (Les Jackson) was at the ACC lastnight scouting the Leaf game.

if he's so good, why are you willing to give him up for a plugger? I don't know if you guys up in leafs nation have noticed but Dallas is 2nd in the league atm, somehow I doubt Dallas needs a guy that only has 11 goals in the ultra weak eastern conference as much as you'd like to have us think.

Blake would not be the second best forward in Dallas. I'm not even sure he'd be in the top five, nor if he'd be in the higher end of 6-10.

All of that is beside the point though. Blake is not worth the contract both in money and term that he signed for in Toronto. If he signed that contract in Dallas it would be the same, although he'd likely score even less. It's not what you suggest Dallas gives up, but the return. For me Toronto would have to seriously sweeten the deal to get Dallas to even consider bringing Blake on board. It's also very probable Jackson was doing exactly as he said prior to his trip, scouting junior teams and the Leafs, but that doesn't mean he was looking at Blake.

So Jason Blake's the only player that played in the Leafs v.s Islanders last game?
Dallas didn't want to go past three years for Blake and they won't trade for him with that contract now.
Just because he's watching the game doesn't mean he's just looking to trade for those players now, he might be scouting them in the off-season as trade targets or free agent signings if the price is right.

I would be surprised if any team trades for Blake with that contract.

Modano, Morrow, Ribs and Lehts are way better then Blake, I'd almost consider hagman even better

I dont think I'd trade Ott straight up for Blake even if he had a decent contract

I like Blake and dont mean to sound so harsh towards him, but I dont think he's that good of a player and I dont think he'd fit in with the Stars

Ribeiro is gross and what a joke of a contract, even worse than Blake's. You guys will regret that in two years and be in the same position JFJ put us in with Blake.

Dallas was hot and heavy right up to the point where the contract turned into stupid money. If the Stars wanted him, they would have sign him. Why would they go after him now when they though he was getting too much just six months ago?

It's obvious you haven't seen any Stars games.

Ribero is the Stars' #1 center. He has almost twice as many points as Blake.

Dude, the Leafs just OUTBID everyone for his services in the previous offseason. That means, even in the summer no other team was willing to pay that much money for Blake. What do you think his trade value is now? If you guessed nothing, you'd be right.

That comment alone tells me what you know about our team.

No thank you.
