That is the latest score we've had since the All-Star Break. We've lost seven out of eight games and only mustered five out of a possible 16 points.

That loss to Chicago was pitiful, embarrassing and downright atrocious, among the things that can be said without having to deal with a ban filter. There's no excuse for allowing that to happen, period!

No, this GDT isn't a fancy one. It doesn't matter who starts for Detroit, what stats are out there, or anything else. All that matters is that the Jackets SHOW UP AND PLAY WITH HEART IN AN EFFORT TO WIN THE GAME because they clearly didn't do it against Chicago.

I shudder to think what may happen if the Chicago game is repeated again.

Wings 5-3. The effort will improve from Wednesday. I really think they'll be in it up until the end. Moral victories are not what we need.

On a positive note… Daniel "Jacket Killer" Cleary is out with a broken jaw. That should equate to about two less goals we'll need to score.

I am entirely convinced that what has killed this team wasn't the Shelley trade, or the All-Star break, or the Fedorov injury, or any of those other suspects... no, what happened is that bringing back the oldschool WWF avatars here brought back oldschool-style CBJ play - that is, losses.

Zero? Im talking addition by subtraction. In my equation... IF the jackets show up tonight...AND they do in fact score three goals (which is about all they are good for)- the wings typically answer. If it is a 3-2 or 3-3 game- we can feel a little better about the outcome with Cleary being out. Too much labor for a friday

If our team D doesn't make a dramatic reappearance- Holmstrom will just camp out and score a touchdown all by himself.
