Saw that game too and was very impressed by the GlenX line that dominated playing Van 4th line but also the few times they played the Van 1st line. So again good deal for both teams and a for GlenX.

Preds get another point by losing in OT to the Wild.

So Peter Forsberg decided not to return this season, I'm pretty disappointed, he's my favorite player of all time.

Lidstrom got knocked the **** out by Laperriere. He had a completely blank look on his face and his legs were like noodles. Escorted off the ice by trainers and teammates.

The Wings seem to have the same problems the jackets have had since the Break.

Sad Note: The Flames 5th round pick at the draft here in Columbus, Mickey Renaud collapsed in his home today and died, he was 19.

St. Louis looks like they want to make the playoffs - unlike another team I know.

Buffalo beat Tampa Bay with an amazing comeback in the third. They were down 3-1 with less than ten minutes remaining, tied the score at 3-3 and won in OT on a perfect passing play during a rare OT PP.... The Sabres are determined to make the post season.

Late edit: Vanek had a Hattie and Spacek made the OT pass to Vanek for the OT win.

BTW: we should have never, ever let Spacho go..big mistake.

I hate to say it but Montreal should destroy us unless they play down to their competition too, we're about to face the 2 best teams in the East right now.

Which of course means we'll win. Good call TW.

Plus, I hear Footer has put in some new plays and defensive alignments.
Pazzy will join Freddy in the net.
Zher will play naked.

Montreal is a solid team and determined to win as well. Ottawa has had some trouble of late, I'd say the post "coach walkout from practice" Blue Jackets can beat Ottawa but not Montreal.

That would only be fair considering how often he undresses the other team.

I found this an interesting response from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Pens beat writer to a reader question regarding neck guards in the wake of the Zednik incident - I've only quoted a portion of the longer exchange, the part which I find humorous or ironic or something --

Quote:
...there are plenty of players who have no qualms about playing without a visor, and probably some who would be willing to go on the ice without a helmet. But you will never, ever find even one who would consider leaving the locker room without his protective cup.

Nashville-Vancouver all tied up 2-2 in the 3rd. Please win in regulation, Preds.

So much for that.

Must every Western Conference game go into OT?

And, don't look now, but the Preds may finish the season ahead of the Sharks, darlings of the hockey media. Guess they didn't sellout their future last year after all.

5 points out of first in their division. And they'll be getting assets back for Hossa. I'm not sure they gave up more than a year.

Vancouver wins. Jackets gain no ground tonight.

My hate for the Preds grows stronger every day.
