Jan 29 GDT: Kings v. Colorado

Colorado Avs (29-11-8-2) @ Los Angeles Kings (20-15-11-5)

Game time at 7:30PM PST and can be seen (thank god!) on FSW.

Kings are coming off of a big win against the red-headed stepchild to the south. I hope there's no emotional letdown against the Avs today. Kings usually play them tough.

I'm thinking another tie.

we cannot let their special teams on the ice. both pp and pk stellar and just take over games. the kings should seriously consider declining av's penalties tonight.

The "Colorado Extreme" (almost their name) VS The Los Angeles Sharks (also, almost their names.

The Nords are playing well although, the majourity of their fans who post at HF were calling for Tony "he just isn't a good enoug coach for our elite talent" Granato's head not too long ago. Winning changes everything then though. Now, he is a grand coach.

Floppa will recieve 10's across the board tonite as usual and do his "double lindy" to earn a PP where he will show his amazing hockey skills and net a goal. When he isn't doing his Lougaines (sp) impression, he is one of the best in the game.

Sakic, easily the best center of his era. A player who shows up every game and plays to win. The total pro's pro. A player who shows that you can play physical without playing dirty and still get your points. He too will net his usual goal against us.

Avs 2

Kings, like most Avs fans (no offence) and Andy Murray, Frolov will go under rated and be given room to move and will get his point.

Lubo will continue to play his steady *All Star Worthy* two way game (possibly the most under rated defenceman in the game today) and net one.

Avery (if in the line up) will get an assist on Pirnes goal giving the Kings a 3-2 lead.

Then the Avs will score 8 more in the late third and we will lose 10 to 3.

Another loss for us. Oh well. Lets hope my usual predictions streak continues!

Seeing as the last 6 games that my wife and I have been to have gone into overtime, including game 6 against the Dead Wings. I'll predict an overtime win for the Kings.

Go Kings Go!!

Well these are always my favorite games of the year. As much as I love the Kings it will be a tough win...I am not going to jinx them though. I predict a good game with lots of great bone jarring hits.

4-4 Tie

True. He also has such a bad reputation with the refs that often times he gets things called against him that wouldn't be called against any other players

avs are getting through the neutral zone with speed...and with that lineup, its only a matter of time before they put up 4 goals in the next 20 minutes...kings defense have to slow them down and close the gap...

i have to admit, i was wrong about that guy during preseason...as far as reputation, its the only thing that gets him to the NHL...so he needs to work harder and not do too much of the nasty stuff...im not saying stop being nasty altogether though...
