I can understand why you guys don't care if players don't remove their visors, if Phaneuf and Iginla played without visors you'd probably care a lot more.
A couple of things:
  1. I've never "reamed" Cory Perry for fighting with a visor.
  2. No I wouldn't care more if Phaneuf and Iginla played without visors.
Would you like to put more words in my mouth.

Indeed I'd care more, cause the risk of severe face injuries caused by deflected pucks would rise dramatically. But I guess, that's not the things you care about.

I've never "reamed" Perry for wearing a visor. I couldn't care less. Though the fact that you've created incident levels to convince yourself that Perry good Iginla bad is rather hilarious.

I'd care alot of Iginla didn't wear a visor. He almost lost his eye in an incident with Eric Brewer because he didn't wear one. If I had my way the entire Flames roster, and the entire NHL would have visors on.

I think you got your facts twisted. Many claim Iginla takes his lid off when his opponent does as well (rightfully so).

In this case, I didn't see Moen take his off, which I would assume is why Iginla didn't do the same.

Uhhh, you have to ask??

Let's see, here's the discussion so far:

Original claim:

The reply:

So the question remains, how can Moen remove a visor when he doesn't have one?

It's kinda amusing to see the lengths where you guys are willing to go to defend Iginla's antics.

Iginla has lots of time to remove his visor, when he does that the opponent removes his helmet. Iginla doesn't even try to remove the visor but decides to get rid of the elbow pads.

Iginla doesn't remove his visor unless he's motioned to do so. It should be automatic when he has time to do that. If you want to play tough, stop hiding behind the visor.

lol i just watched it and iginla had plenty of time. I watched some of his other fights too and he always takes off the helmet and then sometimes the elbow pads.

I'm sure we can all agree he wanted no part of "king" beauch.

In that case (since you seem to care that much about it), what should be automatic is that BOTH players remove their helmets if they have time to.

You mean like Corey Perry? Or his his case, behind a scrum works just as well.

What makes you say that? Did he refuse to fight him or something?

Yes and it IS automatic once the player with visor removes it. The other guy will automatically remove his helmet after that.

The one with visor should be the one that makes the first move, Iginla is NEVER the first guy to do that, in fact he never removes it unless the opponent motions him to do that.

Perry hasn't pulled any stunts as lame as what Iginla did against Moen.

No, it just took 2 gestures from Beauch before Iginla dared to take off his visor.

So what would you call Perry skating by a scrum looking for an opening to sucker punch an opposing player?

You obviously don't understand. I'm not defending Iginla's "actics", I'm stating I flatly don't care. It's such a small minor thing, it's hilarious to see the lenths you will go to try to slam someone for it (all the while proclaiming it's bad, but Perry isn't THAT bad). If someone wants Iginla to remove his visor then they can remove their helmet and he will remove is. I mean, that would be truly fair would it not?

It's such a small minor issue that it's hilarious to see people on this board, and pretty much this board only, make a huge issue about it.

What incident are you talking about? Ducks-Flames? Which period?

And how you know he was looking for an opening to sucker punch? Did he actually punch someone?

Yes, I'm talking Ducks-Flames, in the third period I believe it was. Perry came skating by a scrum, looked for an opening (and when I say looked for an opening, I'm not assuming, it was pretty obvious) and threw in a sucker punch at Regehr while he was tied up with other players.
