This is the classic trap game but for the Stars, not the Flames. I hope to see the Flames keep the momentum going.

HUGE game tonight. Here's hoping their play from last night's game carries into this one and they can leave Dallas with 2 points. They've definitely got their work cut out for them with this Stars team.

Though I find it unlikely, but is Joseph going to get the nod?

Steve Ott of the Stars will have #18 on the back of his helmet tonight to honour Mickey Renaud (he asked permission to do so because apparently they were good friends, as per the Fan 960). That's pretty classy of him.

I was just going to post that, indeed, it is a very nice gesture by Steve Ott, these last few days must have been hard on him.

According to the Fan, there has been no word yet who is starting.

Are you sure they said they were good freinds?
Althought they both played for the spits, they've never played together.

Someone on another forum just said Tanguay is a healthy scratch. Apperently is was on the Dallas radio feed.
Any truth to that?? If it's true, hes been traded.

I was going to post that the Flames should try and check and fight Ott as much as possible because he really got us good last game, but I feel bad for him now.
Anyways, Go Flames Go!

As per Peter Maher, Curtis Joseph will start in net tonight for the Flames.

That's good to hear. I was starting to wonder if we'd ever start Joseph.

Wierd.. you'd think Kipper would start against a team like the Stars. Resting for Detroit I guess.

Maher said that Keenan wanted to give Kiprusoff some rest, given how important the rest of these games are. And he liked what he saw from Joseph in that 3rd period he played in L.A.

Doubt it was on the Stars radio side. Pre-game just started a couple minutes ago, and nothing has been said about that yet.
Good luck to you guys tonight! Should be a good one!

Interesting to see Iginla fight right at the beginning. I definitely prefer that to him fighting at the very end of the game.

That's a pretty nice save by Joseph. I call dibs on the goaltending controversy!

Yeah, I expected to see that carry over from the last meeting between these two teams. It should be guys like Godard and Smith gettin' in Ott's face, though.

Woohoo! Tanguay!
It's a good thing Keenan didn't bench him.

Glen Healy's rant about goal scores.
I believe both Tanguay and Huselius consider themselves primarily playmakers anyways.
