Richards + 2nd Rounder

To TB

Naslund + Bieska + Edler/Bourdon + Top Prospect

Naslund would simply be a salary dump for the remainder of the year.

Bob McKenzie said that the Canucks have inquired about him and are interested, my question is why? That's way too much money for the Canucks to take when we already have Hank Sedin.

Horrible deal for the Canucks. With the season Richards is having and that contract of his, lowers his value than one would suspect. Edler plus a first rounder is enough.

BTW why would the Bolts even want Naslund? He's a UFA at the end of the season, they're rebuilding.

From an Isles standpoint, I'd gladly welcome Richards to the team (as long as it doesn't require KO going to Tampa).

Richards has the third highest cap hit in the league, after Crosby and Ovechkin. I really don't see how Tampa will get anything back of decent value.

I would love Richards on the Devils, but since Tampa is not allowed to eat any of his salary, I wouldn't touch him.

HAHAHAHA What are you smoking?

The whole reason for the Canucks getting Richards would be to get some more scoring so they're going to trade away their second best offensive player in Naslund away (Sedins are one player..they can't produce without each other.) Not to mention two of their top 5 D.

Edler, Schenider and a first or 2nd round pick in 09 or 10 should do it

But isn't he a UFA at the end of the year? Would it not make more sense to keep him for the stretch run??? I'm sure capwise they can afford to do so.

None of these Van players are really any good that are being offered up here. Take away Luongo and that d gets exposed quickly.

Says who? lol

Tampa wouldn't touch that offer, Schneider may be no better than Ramo and Helenius, and Bourdon definitely isn't worth the asking price of Richards.

I would kill Feaster myself if he did that. That is horrible and nowhere close to what he could and SHOULD get for Richards.

Dunno if this counts as a backup, but,

Pierre Maguire appeared on the Team 1040 in Vancouver and stated this rumour...sparked a flurry of threads by different users on the official Canucks boards, with various people vouching for it.

What do you think of something like Higgins, Streit and Halak for Richards?
